Today I am joining Terri at Your Friend From Florida for Wednesday Medley!!!
1. It
may be a little shocking, but National Static Electricity Day is
January 9!! Do you often get shocked often when you touch metal? No, not really.
2. There are actually two "National" days worthy of mention! It is also
National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day. Our men and women working
in many areas of law enforcement put their lives on the line for us
daily. Do you know someone working in law enforcement who you can thank
today? I do not personally know a law enforcement officer but I would like to thank each and every one of them! I would never want their job-especially in today's world!
3. At our house right now it is all about football. Joe's Philadelphia
Eagles barely won their game on Sunday to move forward in the playoffs
and another chance to play in the Super Bowl this year. Do you have a
favorite team in the playoffs or does football make you yawn? I love my Pittsburgh Steelers!!!! Here is my post about our final game of the season....sadly we did not make the playoffs!! Is there a
Super Bowl party in your future, no matter the teams playing? I don't plan to watch the Superbowl. I only watch the Steelers so if they are not in it, I will probably not watch.
4. Speaking of parties, there is always lots of food at parties I
attend. Tell us a weird food combination that you really enjoy (or have
enjoyed). It doesn't have to be party food. I recently tried chocolate covered bacon and it was awesome! I was totally shocked but I loved it!
5. Since we are on games and parties, what game have you spent the most hours playing? Recently, the new Game of Life. My nieces got it for Christmas and we played for hours on end!! The new Game of Life has pets and babies! It is awesome!
6. Tell us something random about your week so far. It is dragging really badly!!!! It feels like three weeks have gone by and it is only Wednesday! I guess it will take a while longer to adjust after that long holiday vacation and break - UGH! I need to re-visit vacation badly!!!! I am going to re-watch my vacation now...ahhhh.....

Hmm not sure about chocolate on bacon. I love chocolate and bacon but together? I'll take your word on that lol
ReplyDeleteI promise yu should try it Wendy!!! If you ever get the chance...take a small bite and I bet you will finish the whole piece! Sounded crazy to me also at first. I don't buy it since it is definitely NOT GOOD FOR YOU AT ALL...but if someone offers me one; I eat it! HA!
DeleteI used to LOVE the Game of Life! Chocolate and bacon sounds kind of off-putting … but then I'm not such a fan of either. Have you seen that chocolate wine? I've never tried it, but can't wrap my mind around it, either.
ReplyDeleteLOL! I know it sounds awful but it really is surprisingly amazing! I promise! I think my Mom and sisters tried chocolate wine last year at Hershey. We went there for a spa day with my sister and I swear they all loved it (I dont drink so I will continue to chew my chocolate bars and chocolate bacon!) HA!

ReplyDeleteI really is just like the old Game of Life only it has newer occupations and you can get cats and dogs now! The car gets really full by the end of the game!!! HA! Have a great day Carla!
