UGH-site closure

Hi everyone!!! I wish I had a happy, cheery post today but I promised this blog will detail my life...good and bad.

 Well, we were officially notified today at work that my company is closing the site where I work. We knew it was coming in the next few years but this is sooner and the reality is always a shock.  

We were told they will try to find us opportunities to move to another location if we are needed and if not; we will get severance.

 Time will tell...I refuse to stress over this...I keep telling myself it will all work out for the best!

 We are going to find out our fate over the next few months.

 I will keep you all posted...

      Thanks - I truly believe it will work out for the best! Just stinks when you invest that much time at a company and you want it to be until retirement. UGH

    Ah man Ann that sucks. But let's think that maybe something bigger and better will come out of this. Can you relocate for an opportunity? Or do you really want to stay in Pit? I wish you nothing but the best in this! Been there and I understand your feelings right now. All over the place I am sure. ((hugs)) Hang in there, you've got a soft place to fall here amongst friends.

      Thanks Margaret! This blog is definitely my spot place and my sanity right now! HA! Some will be offered relocation but they do not know who yet...I guess time will tell. Staying in Pittsburgh is only an option if I choose to leave my company. But, maybe they will not want me to move and I will have to find a new job - then it will definitely be Pittsburgh! Hugs

      Right Stacy!?! Thanks for the prayers! The last time my company laid people off it was right before Christmas...we all thought we had survived once it got into the new year. It will all work out but the uncertainty SUCKS HA!

      The thing I found was a new position within the same company..so no, but it will definitely all work out! The conference helped with keeping my thinking positive and I do everything I can to remain that way! Have a great night!

    So easy to fall prey to worry … I love your attitude, Ann! I hope this time next year you can look back and say, "Wow. That was the best thing that could've happened!" (Don't laugh - a personal devastating loss once turned out that way for me!)

      That is exactly what I am thinking!!! I would never laugh at that...I think God gives us our biggest challenges to get us ready for our biggest successes! Otherwise...I know for myself I would never have any growth..I would choose to stay unchanged and stagnant! Thanks fro the words of wisdom...it is exactly what I am thinking! Hugs
