Thanksful Thursday 9/15/16



This past week I have been thankful for.....

I am thankful for my entire family that I am going to see this weekend at Hershey Park!!! Yeah - sooooo stinkin' excited!
 


I am thankful for my precious cats that give me hours of joy snuggling and playing!
 


I am thankful for my somewhat new car..I bought it last year and realized today that I have already put 20,000 miles on it...how is that possible!?!?! I guess I am also thankful for all the traveling I get to do!! LOL!

Wednesday Hodgepodge

 
 
1. What's changed in your life, home, or community since your last birthday? 
My birthday was May so not very much at all I am sad to say. Actually nothing really. I really like my predictable life right now! LOL
2. September is Classical Music Month. Do you like/listen to classical music? If so what's a favorite piece and/or who is a favorite composer? 
 
Not really a fan at all unless I am at the Opera. Is that classical? LOL
3. Besides The Bible, what's a book that has positively changed your life, relationships, career, or perspective? How so? 
I love the Big Book! It has transformed my entire life and even, do I dare say, given me a life! I owe everything I have today to those first 100!!!!
4. I read (here) these ten hobbies will make you smarter...play a musical instrument, read voraciously, meditate regularly, work out your brain (puzzles, sudoku, board games, etc), exercise often, learn a new language, write your feelings down (blog, journal, just write), travel to new places, cook different kinds of meals, participate in sports actively. Are any on this list your current hobbies? Which hobby on the list would you be most inclined to try? 
I workout everyday (running, barre or body pump) and I love puzzles and board games! I also journal all the time when I need to talk something out with myself!
5. What sports traditions does your family have? 
 
No traditions - we just LOVE our Pirates, Penguins and Steelers with every part of our being!
6. In a few words, weigh in on the current football/National Anthem brouhaha. Keep it family friendly please.
 
There is too much drama for me in everyday stuff that just does not need that much attention. I feel exactly the same about the election! We could learn a lot from the older generations that say "if you can't say something nice then don't say anything at all".
7. Where do you have loads of patience, and where do you most lack patience? 
Driving is the only area where I completely lack patience! I have zero when I am behind the wheel of a car! LOL

Week 7 - Weigh in Wednesday

Hi everyone!  It's that time again!


Time for Weigh in Wednesday results!

I started on July 24, 2016 and have lost 22.4 pounds since then.

From last Wednesday to this Wednesday I have lost 1 pound. UGH!!!!! I am watching and not cheating and drinking water and exercising and I feel like I should have lost more than that!!! I know I should be happy that it is still gonig down but WOW...only 1 pound! Oh well, I will take it and hope for more next week!

I have been watching. measuring and recording everything I eat and making sure to get at least 10,000 steps a day and drink my water! This week I have also found the time to add in two or three classes of Pure Barre along with my running/jogging/walking training for the half marathon in October at Hershey.

I really need your help!!! Please, won't you join me and this check in to stay accountable!? Spread the word and let's all help keep each other motivated!!!

Week 6 - Weigh in Wednesday


Hi everyone! I hope you all are having an amazing September!!! BTW-How is it September already?!?!? WOWSA! Time is seriously flying by!

Well, I hope everyone has had a great last week of weight loss?!?! I kind of maintained. I was a little updet at first and then I realized that it took a lot of will power to just maintain this week.

I had the long holiday weekend with my family at the lake. The weekend was filled with sweets and junk food and also really good comfort food that I love! My family had ribs one day, meatloaf the other day and then potato salad and burgers on the final day! See, lots of will power! I ate Lean Cuisine instead of all of that! I also avoided peanut butter chocolate crispy squares, cookies galore and ice cream birthday cake!

The only thing I allowed myself was a bite of rib, a bite of meatloaf and a bite of Mom's homemade potato salad and a few deviled eggs.

After all those days of willpower, I had a work celebration luncheon at Baywood on Tuesday and I ate strip steak filet and chocolate icebox cake! That was yesterday....HA! So, I am very glad it is not worse than it is on the scale!

I still worked out everyday either with barre or jogging and made sure to get my water.

Random Thinking Out Loud



Holy Moses!!! It is September!! I will be joining Running With Spoons for Thinking Out Loud Today!!

We may all be sorry...those thoughts are usually best left inside my brain but lets see how this goes!

I am sooooooo very sad that Summer is coming to end...it was bejesus cold when I left the house for work this morning. Please don't leave me sunshine, beaches and warmth!!!



All I do is think about eating!! I am losing weight again and I am very happy about that! The scale is moving in the right direction again finally but I am always starving and thinking about food!! Lord, get me through this without eating my own arms off!!!





My fitbit is my best friend!!! It truly makes me sad if I shower and forget to put my fitbit back on before I walk anywhere! HA HA!!!




Let me preface with...I'm really sorry if I insult anyone!!!! I am a big believer in Live and Let Live however, this woman showed up on my Facebook feed this AM and these people give me the hee-bee gee-bees!!! You will NEVER convince me that these individuals are NOT mentally ill! WOWSA!!! Just gives me chills!


Finally, if anyone is looking to stay accountable for weight loss - I would LOVE for you to join me at my Weigh in Wednesday next week! Right now it is usually a party of one or two but I am hoping for more people to join soon!
