Day One-morning in Kauai

We are all here!!! Yes!!!  All three of us (My mom, her friend Sandy and myself) all arrived last night and got settled in.  They arrived around 4pm and my flights got in around 9pm. Shout out and thank you to my friend Mariela that drove to the airport to get them at 4 pm. I brought the rental car with me at 9pm.

We were all up early this morning and drinking coffee in our condo by 5 AM so we decided to go for a little walk to the beach down the street to watch the sunrise. It is called Poipu Beach.

This is the first thing we encountered at the beach… LOL! It’s a chicken and her babies. These chickens and roosters are everywhere on this island! Seriously everywhere! You can read why HERE.

Here’s a little closer of you… Someone left them an orange and M&M. Babies are adorable.


Once we got down to the sand we noticed these guys laying in the sand… Two giant turtles.  As soon as we got close to the one it swim away but the other one actually let us get selfie’s. We didn’t touch it or bother it, just took pictures with it.

The other just kept chilling...he (or she) was awesome!!! God does great work-they were beautiful!!

There are beautiful flowers and fauna everywhere you look here!!! This is a beautiful flower called “bird of paradise”


And this one is, by far, my favorite!!! It is a plumeria and it smells amazing!!! They are everywhere here and so beautiful!!!


Here is the place we went for breakfast !!! It’s called Anuenue Cafe and the food was awesome!!!


Here is the picture of what I had! Me and mom got something different and shared half with each other so we had banana pancakes with macadamia nuts crumbled on top and a delicious breakfast sandwich with avocado, egg, mozzarella, and bacon.

That concluded our morning and it was fantastic!!!
