This was breakfast during the conference meetings on Tuesday. I tried to be healthy since I have been eating so many baked beans with bacon and BBQ meat! Fruit it was for breakfast.
Followed by a long day in meeting rooms...
And then lunch....and, guess what, BBQ, baked beans, and potato salad!!!! It was delicious but I think I have already had my fill of BBQ....LOL!!
After the meetings were over a bunch of us planned to go out to dinner. A local friend, Bob, recommended a popular french restaurant Tatsu's and it was fantastic!! It was a nice deviation from BBQ - HA!
Here is a picture of my carrot soup. I know, carrot soup, ick! But, no! The man that recommended the restaurant told us that we had to try it and it was amazing!!! Seriously! I am not a real fan of carrots and I wanted a second bowl...delicious!
Sadly, I forgot to get a picture of my main meal which was the special that night, sea bass!!! So delicious!
It was a great dinner and a great time to visit and bond with the others that are working on the project with me.
Tonight, after the meetings are over we are going to have cocktails and snacks for the whole project team from 7PM - 9PM at the hotel so that should be fun!
I hope everyone has a fantastic Wednesday!!!
What is your least favorite vegetable? Have you ever eaten so much of something that you are sick of it even though you love it??
I get food fatigue very easily. I need variety like you do. That BBQ looks good though.
ReplyDeleteI so remember the working conferences. Too much food and alcohol, but fun nonetheless.
Have a fabulous day. ♥
Yes Sandee...Thank goodness I don't drink anymore since that would just add more to the calorie count!! But I am definitely holding my own with the food!
DeleteWe have lots of great BBQ here in Decatur Alabama but I do tend to tire of it.lol
ReplyDeleteLucky you though! We cannot really get it in PA so I definitely went overboard when I had access!!! HA!
DeleteI love every vegetable, but I won't eat bananas.
ReplyDeleteWas the soup served hot or cold? I don't do cold soups, but if it was hot I think I would like it.
It was hot soup - I also do not do cold soups. The other selection was cold asparagus...ick!! HA! You would have loved it - it really was amazingly good! Have a great week Lisa!
DeleteHi Friend,
ReplyDeleteCarrot soup does sound good to me. :-)
Was it like a squash soup?
Peanut Butter and Jelly is something I ate so much of I do not really enjoy eating now, but I will if I have too.
Now you have me hungry for peanut butter and jelly!! That sounds delicious! YUM! I cannot explain what the soup was, kind of thick but the only thing I tasted was carrot (and I don't normally love carrots) Crazy! Have a fantastic week Carla!
DeleteYour fruit cup looked super as did the plate with barbecue. I haven't had carrot soup, but it did look delicious and would definitely give it a try if it were hot.
ReplyDeleteIt as hot - that was my first question. I cannot even think about eating cold soup - HA! I hope you have a great week Robin!
DeleteI don't really have a favorite veggie. I love them all and I love them roasted. But if a gun to my head, bacon and brussel sprouts are pretty damn awesome with a balsamic drizzle!!
ReplyDeleteThere is nothing I love that I can't eat anymore - that is my problem Ann!! :-)
Oh yes Margaret! You just listed my favorite veggie ever!! I love brussel sprouts any way they are cooked but the absolute best way is roasted with bacon and balsamic drizzle. Do you like caprese salad also??? That is another favorite!!
DeleteMeetings sound boring but the food looks good. My least favorite vegetable would have to be lima beans. I can't say that I ever got sick of something that I loved but I hate eating the same thing all the time so I like to change things up often
ReplyDeleteLima beans are definitely my NO vegetable! We were able to pick one veggie to not eat when we were kids and that was mine! Yes, lots and lots of good food - too much actually!! HA! Have a great week Ann! HUGS
DeleteAll the time! In answer to your question. I have made myself sick on sweets, Mexican food and Italian food. I like most all vegetables and can't think of any right now that I won't eat or at least try. Not crazy about bananas. That carrot soup might be worth looking up a recipe on Pinterest.
ReplyDeleteIt definitely was that good Nonnie!! I do the sweet thing all too often - I have to keep them away from myself! HA! I hope you have a great week!!!
DeleteLiving in the south, we surely get our fill of BBQ and baked beans too! It does look pretty yummy though!
ReplyDeleteIt really was Debby Ray. We just cannot find it anywhere in PA!! You are lucky!!!! Have a fantastic week!!!!! HUGS
DeleteI sometimes get tired of candy and such. Sounds like you are having a yummy time in the food department
ReplyDeleteAlways - that is my issue -need to get my eating in check but this travel is not helping push me in the right direction! HA! Have a good day Patrick!
DeleteThat's some fancy carrot soup!
ReplyDeleteFalls right into the saying "too pretty to eat" except that I was starving so it was not an issue - HA! Have a great day Abby!
DeleteI cannot eat okra. Any other veggie is fine, but not okra. If I eat the same thing over and over and over, I do get tired of it. That soup looks yummy!! Glad there are some fun things going on for you to enjoy while you are there!
ReplyDeleteI have never had okra...it does not look very appetizing to me at all. It was almost too eventful! HA! Have a great day Terri!
DeleteThat soup is beautiful. I have had my share of BBQ this week too.
ReplyDeleteLOL! Then you understand...I love it so muc ut you hit a point where you cannot eat another piece of meat! HA!
DeleteIt's surprising they are going through these expenses when they are closing your work place! Maybe they are hoping you will relocate?
