Thursday and Friday Adventures

I hope you're having an amazing week! We have been blessed with one fabulous week at the beach… This has been my view every day here in Stone Harbor New Jersey…  we have not had any rain to spoil our gorgeous beach days and the water has been phenomenal! The water is so clear this week you could see the bottom.

This has been my view for the week… Absolutely beautiful…

We found a lot of these adorable little guys rolling around in the surf. We would collect them and then take them where no one was swimming and throw them out to sea… I hope a few of the little adorable crabs survived. Isn't he cute… See his teensy-weensy pincher there?
My nephew built this little sand fortress...
The kids loved coming up from the beach every day and having a virgin frozen strawberry daiquiri -their Aunt Annie didn't mind much either! LOL!
The kids had so much fish fun Crabbing the first night we decided to take them crabbing again. As soon as we got there the fisherman next to us got this little prize. If anyone has any idea what kind of fish this is let me know… We have tried to look it up everywhere. Looks like a big ugly tadpole… We have no idea what kind of fish it is! It sure was ugly!

The first net the kids pulled up had this baby in it. This is a spider crab. And usually their legs are longer… This is just a baby. Imagine what the big ones look like! They're actually kind of hideous!

The rest of the night they just caught little Maryland blue crabs. They're actually pretty darn cute! This one jumped out of the net onto the dock and when I waved my finger about it he was dancing around the dock like he was going to pinch me… How cute! We flipped him over and realized he was actually a girl LOL! We threw them all back in… I hope they'll grow up To be adorable little crabs and no one eats them. Just a little bit of trivia… If you flip over a blue crab and they have something that looks like the Washington monument on there under side it's a boy… If they have a U-shaped underbelly that it's a girl.   Another a little bit of trivia… We only catch and release. We do not fish and eat our catch.

Look how cute and feisty she was dancing around trying to pinch me…

Here is the selfie of the crew that went crabbing the second night. It's my mom my sisters and my nieces and nephew. What a cute crew!

We finished out the night letting the kids pull up the nets a few more times and watching the sunset… It was so beautiful!

A little photo bomber with the sunset…

A little sunset with the family heading out for the night boat ride…

And finally a little sunset was some singles. The fishing pier is the perfect place to watch the sunset!
We cooked dinner in for the family every night on vacation except for one night we go out and enjoy a nice night out.   The past few years we have ended up here at the Lobster House in Cape May, New Jersey

Here is a picture of the whole family except me since I'm taking the picture… Aren't they cute?!?!

And as we were leaving the restaurant we were blessed to this beautiful sunset. I think we saw a beautiful sunset every evening this week!

  1. Cape May! I used to live in Lewes, Delaware. Took the Cape-May Lewes Ferry several times. That looks like a beautiful vacation.
