Five Fall Favs and New Project

Today I am going to share with you the 5 things I love in the fall!

These are my CANNOT live with outs....

In the Fall I LOVE candles!!! As most of you know, I have cats, four to be exact and fire does not go well with nebby cats and tails - LOL! But seriously!! The only time of the year that I enjoy a candle is in the Fall when it is closely monitored. Other than Fall, you will never see a candle lit in my home.

Second thing I HAVE to have in the Fall is these babies!!! They are Caramel Apple Pops and they are soooo yummy!! Each one is only 50 calories and lasts forever!! Great when you need a low calorie sweet treat! If you like caramel apples and you have not tried these...YOU ARE WELCOME! HA!

Third thing is this for dinner!! I am not a cook but I love soups in the Fall and Winter! Trader Joes has some really good ones and don't forget the Cornbread crisps-they are to die for!!! I float them in my bowl...soooo delicious!

I have a major issue in the Fall and Winter with dry feet and heels. I rarely get pedicures (no one sees your feet in November right?) so my feet start to get really dry and cracked! I found this stuff at the beach last year and I am now obsessed. It is Pure Factory Essential Foot Repair...You can get it online at Amazon!! It works great! I rub it in with the stick and them put on socks...problem solved! t smells amazing also- they have a bunch of different scents but I love lavender vanilla!

And lastly, Can you tell I love this tea?? I stock pile it!! It is the greatest treat at night if you like cinnamon candies!! It tasted just like you are eating a cinnamon hard candy! YUMMY with no calories!

That is it for my Fall favorites but I wanted to show you guys what my new project is going to be!

I am sooo excited about it and I cannot wait to start! Remember when I told you I was shocked by the cost of new carpet? Well, I am undertaking a large project instead.

I am ripping up all the nasty old carper in my condo and replacing it with Pergo!!  I am using the same brand and color my neighbor picked for hers because I LOVE how hers turned out.

This is how it looked when she had hers finished! The brand in Pergo and the color is Coastal.

Do you like it?!?!

Do you love it?? I already ordered everything I need online and it will be delivered over the next week so I can get started soon! This will be the majority of my posts once I start - LOL!!!

I hope I did not bite off more than I can handle...literally! I have watched all the videos for install and all I need to do is find either a jigsaw or a table saw. I will be checking with my friend Mark since he is so close by but if he does not have one then I will borrow my fathers.

I hope you all have a great weekend!!

Have any of you tried to install Pergo floors yourself? tips please? What was your largest home project you have tried to tackle?

  1. Oh look at you planning to do it yourself! WTG! Not sure about that flooring but I'm scared to get laminate since it can't get wet and someone is always peeing on something around here.

    1. LOL! This laminate actually can get wet...it is semi-waterproof if you clean up the wetness within 30 minutes according to the website. Although, if you have dogs then I guess they could pee and it would sit all day while you are at work so that would not be good!!! I will keep you posted!! Have a great week!

  2. Okay you can burn candles without a flame. I have a candle "thingy" yes Ann that is the professional word. I got it at Hallmark and you set the candle underneath. The light does all the heat and you smell the candle in the house, but no flame so I don't panic if I didn't blow it out when I left. I imagine if you darn cats knock it over, wax can go everywhere but so much better than burning down your condo! AND where do you get these suckers that are candied apple like? I think I need them in my life as well as that foot stuff. Off to Amazon I go....thanks Ann, spending more $$$$

    1. You are too funny Margaret! I have a wax burner but you are right-my OCDness (that is also a word-lol) kicks in and I worry that I will spill wax all over my condo! HA HA
You will love the candy apple suckers - I wait for them EVERY fall!!!

  3. We enjoy soup and tea too!! Wish we had a Trader Joe's close. We have to travel about 45 miles to find one. That is a huge project, but you are young and motivated!! I look forward to seeing your finished project! I do love the color you chose!

    1. Hi Rebecca Jo!!! Thanks for the thumbs up on the flooring choice! I would have never selected it had I not seen it installed in my neighbors condo and loved it! I am doing everything except the bathroom and kitchen since they are already tiled. I promise you will love the suckers! Have a great week!

  5. I forgot about those candy apple suckers. I love Trader Joe's but didn't know about those cornbread crisps. I'll have to pick some up. Thanks for the info on the Pure Factory Essential Foot Repair. I have dry heals all year because we are very dry here in Southern California. Yes I love the flooring. How exciting!

    1. Thanks Debby!!! I am glad you also like the flooring!! The crackers were on an end cap the last time I went to Trader Joes so they are probably seasonal - I actually ran out and need to go grab more before they are gone for good! HA!! Have a fantastic week!

  6. Okay, what is pergo? I love the way it looks. Good for you getting rid of carpets. Carpets are just not done here in Vietnam. A) It's humid (I assume that's a reason) B) It sometimes floods. C) creepy-crawlies. And I am delighted not to have to own a vacuum. Vacuums take up space to store, which a broom, basically, does not. I could sweep forever, but vacuuming feels like a chore.

    Viva la Pergo!

    1. That totally makes sense!! This carpet is sooo old so it pains me to think of all the creepy crawlies (body bugs, etc) living on it! ICK!!!! Have a fantastic week!!!!

  7. Oooh, good luck with your new floors! I look forward to following your Pergo progress.
And thanks so much for the rest of these tips. Since my nest emptied, I don't really cook, but I promised to bring something for a friend having surgery this week. Trader Joe's soup it is!

  8. Hey lady :)
I too love soups when the weather gets cooler and in fact, I’m actually making some tonight.
K so dry skin. You totally need to try Aquafor. I’m taking these meds right now that’s making my lips bleed and it’s saving my life. It’s like Vaseline but not as slick and doesn’t feel nearly as greasy.
Oooh candles. I definitely need to pick up some new ones. :)

Hope you’re having a great week hun. :)
