May 2017 - St. Joseph, Michigan

I have been thinking a lot lately of two years ago when I lived and worked in Indiana/Michigan. I drove up to lake Michigan almost every night and I have such a love for the lake now! I miss seeing it and hearing it!

Here are a few pictures of St. Joseph, MI. It is a 20 minute drive form where I worked in Indiana. I think you will understand why I love it there when you see these...

On one of my many walks along the beaches there; I met a wonderful woman, Jeri,  that taught me about crinoids - they are fossils that can be found in the sand there. We have kept in touch and she is now a wonderful self made photographer that takes the most beautiful and unique pictures of Lake Michigan. You can see her work HERE.

I miss you Lake Michigan!

  1. Lovely photos! It's the closest part of the lakeshore for us as we live in Kalamazoo. My son actually lives there so it's a place we visit quite a bit. The ice in winter is spectacular. Love her photos!

  3. I'm a boater so I can understand the draw. Nothing better than being on or near the water. So relaxing.

    1. That is awesome Ann. Apparently I am only a little more than an hour away from Lake Erie too and I had no idea - LOL! I guess I don't explore as much at home!?!?!? Have a great week - HUGS

  7. I miss having a water view. I had the most gorgeous sea view from my cottage in Norway, but since then, it has deteriorated. Here it is just bricks and mortar I can see and I am in no way fit enough to drive to the nearest body of water to enjoy!

  8. I love the Great Lakes and visited Lake Michigan once. We lived in upstate NY near Lake Ontario several years ago. Being from Colorado, any lake I can't see the other side of might as well be an ocean!
    Thinking of moving?
