I have been thinking a lot lately of two years ago when I lived and worked in Indiana/Michigan. I drove up to lake Michigan almost every night and I have such a love for the lake now! I miss seeing it and hearing it!
Here are a few pictures of St. Joseph, MI. It is a 20 minute drive form where I worked in Indiana. I think you will understand why I love it there when you see these...

On one of my many walks along the beaches there; I met a wonderful woman, Jeri, that taught me about crinoids - they are fossils that can be found in the sand there. We have kept in touch and she is now a wonderful self made photographer that takes the most beautiful and unique pictures of Lake Michigan. You can see her work HERE.
I miss you Lake Michigan!
Lovely photos! It's the closest part of the lakeshore for us as we live in Kalamazoo. My son actually lives there so it's a place we visit quite a bit. The ice in winter is spectacular. Love her photos!
ReplyDeleteI completely agree Sharon! I is so beautiful no matter what the weather but the ice is unreal!!! Have a great week!
DeleteNice pictures! It makes me think of going up to Lake Erie, which I am overdue for.
ReplyDeleteHead on up Stacy - I am thinking of a trip too. I hear I am close from Pittsburgh but I don't ever go there - need to make a point to visit! Have a great week!
DeleteI'm a boater so I can understand the draw. Nothing better than being on or near the water. So relaxing.
ReplyDeleteHave a fabulous day. ♥
I completely agree Sandee! Water is the best...I could listen to waves for hours! HUGS - have a fabulous day also!
DeleteSandy beach, pretty waves and a very nice lighthouse. I can see the attraction.
ReplyDeleteAgreed Andrew!!! Agreed! Have a great week!
DeleteWhat beautiful views! Fabulous photos!

DeleteSuch a beautiful place. Very lovely.
ReplyDeleteI agree Patrick 100% - have a great week!
DeleteWonderful photos. I live pretty close to Lake Erie and always enjoy going there.
ReplyDeleteThat is awesome Ann. Apparently I am only a little more than an hour away from Lake Erie too and I had no idea - LOL! I guess I don't explore as much at home!?!?!? Have a great week - HUGS
DeleteI miss having a water view. I had the most gorgeous sea view from my cottage in Norway, but since then, it has deteriorated. Here it is just bricks and mortar I can see and I am in no way fit enough to drive to the nearest body of water to enjoy!
ReplyDeleteOh no - that is so sad Mara! What a hard thing to lose when you are used to it! I miss seeing it everynight...sooooo amazing to watch nature's beauty! Hope you have a nice day!
DeleteI love the Great Lakes and visited Lake Michigan once. We lived in upstate NY near Lake Ontario several years ago. Being from Colorado, any lake I can't see the other side of might as well be an ocean!
ReplyDeleteThinking of moving?
That is what I thought Abby! I was amazing there were lakes that big! It looks like an ocean only no sharks!! So beautiful! I loved Lake Ontario too - I went there every night when I worked in Mishawaka Canada. Have a fantastic week - HUGS
