Trim Down Tuesday #2

Hi everyone!!! I hope you will all join me today for this week's Trim Down Tuesday! I really need to get my weight under control and I hope this will help me stay accountable and lose this weight once and for all!! Just add your post to the link below!! Please?!?

Just a reminder why I am doing this...I have a couple pictures from this past weekend that I swore I was not going to post but I am on this post! I want to keep accountable and real so here we go...UGH!

This picture is me on the front of the paddle board and my Mom on the back with the hat on! Look how big I am?!?!?

And this is from my 50th party last weekend! I am on the right and largest of all four of us! UGH!!!

I know this is all from traveling and expense accounts and living a life not caring about how I look but now I care! UGH!!

So - I will keep it real here and hopefully start heading in the right direction!

This is my second week!!! My starting weight last Tuesday was 226.6 - UGH!! This mornings weight as I write this post is 225.2!! yippee! I am down 1.4 and I will happily take it! I did great all week wit watching what I ate but after twisting my knee last weekend I was unable to workout at all this week (I just iced the knee and rested it). Also, we celebrated my 50th birthday party this past weekend (shown above) with relatives and while I did really good watching what I ate I did indulge in a piece of birthday cake and maybe a few too many caprese sticks! HA! So YEA ME!!! Happily headed the right way!!

Please join me and maybe we can be stronger together?!?!?! How did you do this week? What were you strong in and what could you tweak for next week?

  1. Ann, what exactly do I need to link? My own post or should it be about losing weight? I am 5 pounds over and I know once I am on the upward trend, it won't take much to be 20 pounds over. Congratulations on your loss and I know it's all about having your goals and not giving up. Have you ever done weight watchers? That worked for me.

    1. Hi Nonnie! You can link whatever you would like. Your own post about whatever you want - I would say anything with tips or tricks to lose or maintain weight loss or a post about your own struggles. It is completely up to you! You can copy my Trim Down Tuesday pic and use that in your post if you want to but you don't have to. I would love to have you!

  3. Hi Ann. First of all, happy happy birthday to you! I hope your 50's are a great and wonderful decade for you! I have to say, being in the "50 Club" isn't bad. Except, of course, for menopause, which is when my weight began to increase. I had always been very thin (too thin, actually), but after menopause, the weight has steadily increased.

I am on a mission to lose 40 pounds, but since my blog isn't devoted to losing weight, I don't really have anything to add to your link-up.

Nonnie mentioned Weight Watchers. That is what I am starting to do. Two years ago, my sister-in-law lost 40 pounds by following WW. And because it's actually a "diet" that is sutainable over the long term, she has kept the weight off.

    Best of luck to you!!

    1. Hi Patti! I have done weight watchers and it definitely does work! I think that is what I am doing....good old fashioned portion control and sensible workouts. Last week went well just knowing I was posting this...every time I wanted to cheat I thought how mortified I would be if I did not lose anything and it really helped me be accountable! Thanks for stopping by and commenting!!! Good luck and I love that you are just popping in to visit! That works too! Hugs!

  5. Well, little by little, inch by inch and pound by pound, you can do it! I've never had a weight issue and have the deepest sympathy for those that do because it has got to be hard to loose weight. All the best!!!!

  6. Congrats on the weight loss. It is healthier to go 1-2 pounds a week so you are on track. I need to lose too. I've lost 33 pounds since I retired a year ago this month. I would like to get another 20-25 off. So let's do it!!!
