Let the Torture Begin...


Welcome to DAY ONE of my new training program!!!  As you may know from reading my blog last year I completed the Pittsburgh half marathon!  I was so proud to be able to say I finished a 13.1 mile run!! So...in a moment of craziness...I have decided to run the full marathon this year.

Not sure what I was thinking except it is on my bucket list and I REALLY want to do this. I have downloaded a training program to follow this year.  I did not do this for the half.  I do a lot of cardio so I guess that helped but I figured for this distance I really need to do some training so I don't DIE!!! HA!!!!

So, here it is below...I am swapping the last two blocks as my marathon is Sunday so I will rest and then rest and then RUN 26.1 on Sunday!!!!  Whoop!! I am sooo exicted!!!  I also think that Tuesday, Friday and Sunday will quickly become my favorite days of the week!!!!

  2. Very exciting! You will never forget your first marathon. I have run 9 and they were all their own experience. Wishing you happy training and good weather on race day.
