New Electric Stove???

Happy Tuesday everyone!!!!

I hope everyone is having a great week so far.

I have the organization and cleaning bug! I can't wait to share with you the easy tip I completed last night!

I make hard tack candy every year at least once at Christmas. As you can guess, it wrecks havoc on my stove burners and the trays underneath! They are dirty, blackened and gross. No matter how hard I scrub they will not clean up!

Last night at Walmart at found new trays!!!!  They look amazing in my opinion! They are cheap and so easy to switch out - they made all the difference in the world with how clean (and new) my stove looks now!!!

Here they are...

Before...

Zoomed in on two...can you see the ick?!??!!

And now...shiny and new!!!

It looks like a new stove!!! I love it!!!!

So, for only 13 bucks total - I got four new trays at Walmart!!!! So awesome!!!  Just a tip...If you have an electric stove and are going to go look for replacements; I went to Target first and they do not carry them so then I went to Walmart.  Also there are a few different ones so I suggest you bring yours along to see what one you need. Mine was the deep bowl size with a circle cut out at the top...some others had an oval cut out. Also, some are flatter than others...it is best to bring yours along so you get the right replacement. Also, make sure you buy the size for how ever many large and small burners you have on your stove.

Easy peesy cleaning step, right?!?!

This morning I am enjoying another green shake! I drink this everyday at work (even when I was traveling I took my nitribullet with me and had them wherever I was). It is a source of amusement for my team and co-workers. They say it smells and look like grass clippings! HA! It is so healthy and I swear it is the only thing keeping my health in check! HA!

It is power greens from Costco
1/4 cup frozen berries from Costco
2 tsp each of chia, gogi berries, flax and hemp
Fill with water
And blend.....yummo!!!!

This is a shot from the bedroom last night! I love snuggles with my Nermie!!!! He wraps his arm around my neck and he is out for the count!!!!  I can always count on him to snuggle me and love me...who needs a man?!?!?! HA!

Happy Tuesday everyone! Thanks for always being so kind and supportive! You guys are the best!!!!

Do you have a routine for your health? Is there something you eat or take everyday to stay healthy?  Do you have a pet? Do you have any favorite cleaning hacks?

  1. I just saw a hack on FB with a dishwasher tablet. Run hot water over an end of it and use it to scrub the crud off the oven window on the door. It worked like a charm and I spend so much time and elbow grease on that darn thing so I will try it and let you know.
I don't have an electric stove but when I rented a place I bought new ones as you did before we moved out. The landlord thanked us for taking such good care of the stove. (it was new when we moved in) I think he assumed we never cooked. My roommates mom told us to buy new ones and we didn't even know at the time we could (I was 22) It truly makes your stove look brand new again. I'd buy one more set to keep on hand.
    Happy Tuesday!

    1. I need to try that trick inside my oven this weekend! The inside definitely DOES NOT look new - HA! The new pans really change the look of the electric stove! Great idea about the extra set too! I love it again now! Have a great day Margaret!

  2. Way to go on the stove facelift. That rocks. I didn't know they still have those trays. I'm glad you found them. Your stove does look new again.

Do you have a routine for your health? Be mindful of the food I eat. Little to no processed foods.

Is there something you eat or take everyday to stay healthy? Green Tea.

Do you have a pet? We lost our Little Bit October 22, 2015. We miss her every single day.

Do you have any favorite cleaning hacks? I'm pretty sure we don't.

    Have a fabulous day. ♥

    1. The new pans make all the difference in the look of the stove to me! I used to try to get my green tea in everyday - I need to get back to that too! Sorry for the loss of your pet...that is the saddest! It almost kept me from getting another cat but I decided there are so many out there that need love and my cat would have been happy that I took another one in! Hugs to you Sandee!

  4. Stove looks great! Funny what a difference new trays can make, right?
Your green shake looks kind of like mud, but sounds very healthy! I try to eat healthy in general and stay away from fast and overprocessed food. Fast food sometimes tastes good, but I feel like crap after I eat it!
Our cat sleeps right in between the husband and me. Trying to be the alpha??

    1. Definitely trying to be the alpha!!! HA! No worries - everyone at work says the same thing but I actually feel healthier after I get it down everyday! LOL! I also get literally sick after I eat fast food now - I feel horrible and wake up SO THIRSTY the next day!

  5. I'm not sure I could ever get used to drinking a green shake but good for you (and several folks I know!). It is great that you can get new covers for you stove! I have had the flat porcelain top for 10 years or so. Easy to wipe up. I would rather cook with gas but here in FL you have to have propane tanks and I sure don't want to mess with that. Walmart is the best go-to place!

    1. Aw thank you! I love him! Really all of them but Nermie was really sick around June of 2017. He was pu tin the cat hospital for five days and almost died. I would go visit and sit with his head on mine just praying that he woudl get better and get to come home. He finally did!!!!! Thank goodness after 5 days he was sent home (still no cause of his fever) with many meds for the next month and fully recovered! It was an awful and scary time but I think he really bonded with me visiting every day multiple times! He's my sweet snuggler!!!!

  9. So glad you included a 'word to the wise'! When we were first talking about putting our home up for sale last year I spotted a set of these and tucked them away for the first open house. Unfortunately, I failed to read the fine print (or, save the receipt) and discovered they wouldn't fit our stove. So glad they weren't expensive!

    1. LOL! That's why I included it! I took a picture of mine because I had no idea and I was so glad I did since there are different ones! HA! Who would have thought?!??! Right?!?! Stinks that you had to waste the money and they did not fit though!!! Bummer!! They make a HUGE difference!!! Have a great day!!!! Hugs

There is not something I do every day, except vitamins. Oh! And thinking. Think about what your thinking about. :) Happy thoughts make a happy face? Something like that! I try.

I need new burners and the trays underneath. I need to figure out where to get the burners, the little cross things are falling apart.

    1. Oh wow! I was looking at those too but decided to wait on them for now since mine are not bad! Just google your brand and model of stove and they have replacements on Amazon. Every brand and size you imagine! They are fairly reasonable too! Good luck!!!! Have a great day Julie!

    1. Sadly I live in a small condo so I think I will call it a yearly expense to buy new ones each January. My place is way too small to store the old ones. That would have been a great idea if my space were bigger! I am already out of room from TOO MUCH STUFF! HA! I guess that is a happy problem I should be grateful for...no doubt! I hope you have a great day Mara!!!! Hugs
