Happy Monday everyone!!
I am going to get right to it today!
Coming off of being sick last week...I went to the doctor for a check in and was weighed. UGH!
I knew I was not doing well on my weight but I had no idea I was my highest weight in a long time!!!
When I got sober I was over 300 pounds and I hated myself!!
I lost a lot of weight and have since regained some but I am WAY heavier than I suspected!!!
Starting today I am getting serious for 2019 - I am 50 now and want to live a long full life.
With my psoriatic arthritis the worst thing for me is extra weight!!
So I am starting Motivation Mondays!!!
This will be my day to weight in every week. I will also offer it up for anyone interested to join me. You can weigh in or just leave an inspirational message or tip for others! Whatever you need to feel motivated to meet YOUR goal!!
So - here we go!!! Please join me if you have a goal or if you just need to give or get a little motivation!!
My current (and starting) weight is 240.8. UGH UGH UGH. Only down from here! HA!
Happy Monday ya'll!
Thanks for stopping by! I am a Pittsburgh girl - born and raised! I blog about my city, travel, weight loss, recovery, family, and life in general! I love the Steelers, coffee and my cats! I took a crappy job shutdown and turned it into a positive mid-life pivot - I am now attending nursing school - set to graduate in December 2022!!! Please make sure to comment and let me know you were here...I love making new friends!

Guys.... I am so sad!! I woke up this morning sick! My throat is killing me! I leave in two days for Florida...I can't be sick...p...
I live in this horror. When I got sick I got very large. Lost 85lbs. gained 20lbs when they put me on steroids for the mass in my eye. I lose 10lb and gain 10lb. I am being serious now. I must get this off. While people say it's only 20lbs but my clothes don't fit. And "only" is still hard to get off. I will still be chubby after having lost this but my closhes will fit. I can't afford new clothes. If I can do this you can do this. I am 62. So by summer I should be in my clothes and be chubby and I can live with chubby at this age. I fell off the wagon this weekend but I just dusted myself off and here we go again. I need to learn to deal with the stresses of life without food. Easier said than done isn't it? You got this Ann, we're here for you!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the support!! I am so grateful to have people like you out there supporting - it means so much more than I can relay!!! THANK YOU MARGARET!!! HUGS
DeleteI go up and down like a roller coaster on my exercise routine. Today I will do some exercise!!
ReplyDeleteMe too Tabor!!! I am making sure of it!!!! Thanks for coming by and commenting! Have a great day - hope your exercise goes quickly! You will feel amazing when it's done! HUGS
DeleteI'm weighing in on Tuesdays. I know I'll be up this week I ate WAY too much cake this weekend.
ReplyDeleteI know that feeling! I will check in with you - just know I am cheering you on also - we got this!!
DeleteI’m with you on the web roller coaster. I wish you success on your efforts
ReplyDeleteThank you - this really sucks but it is nice to know that I am not struggling alone!! Hugs
DeleteI don't know how/what protocol you're following … but I found this Facebook site (Keto with Courtney) to be chock full of positivity and support. https://www.facebook.com/groups/gettingskinnywithcourtney/
ReplyDeleteNo matter how badly I slip-up, I'm always cheered up by visiting.
I need all the positivity and support I can get - thank you!!!!! I will definitely check it o9ut. Just really healthy eating and the old "calories in - calories out" formula! HA!
DeleteYou go, girl! I look forward to watching your certain progress!
ReplyDeleteThanks Abby!!!! Have a great week!
DeleteI weigh everyday and record it everyday. I have a water issue and can gain five pounds in two days... all in my ankles. I know from personal experience (up and down, up and down) that it is a head game. You just have to get your head straight and then you can do it. Perhaps your Motivation Monday will help me get my head back in the game. I really need to lose 25-30 pounds before I can even think about getting my knees done. Let's do it!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a plan to me Terri!!!! Thanks for joining in as I need all the support and fellowship I can get!!! Lets do this!!!!!
DeleteThanks Jennifer!!! This is definitely a struggle but I am invested - I want to get healthy again after 50!!!! Hugs
ReplyDeleteI think most of us battle this when we get older. I know I do. I need to lose 20 pounds, but I don't seem to ever do that. We have too many places we go that have food everywhere. Do very well at home, but not when we go out. Bugger.
ReplyDeleteNice to meet you Ann. I think we just need to do one step at a time and not beat ourselves up when we fail, just get back on track.
Have a fabulous day. ♥
Thanks for the kind words! I can't wait to get to know you better! Have a great week ahead!! Hugs
DeleteYou should be very proud of your sobriety, Ann! You can definitely get back on track with your weight. Celebrate every little victory, and definitely don't be ruled by the scale. Even incorporating a walk every day could make all the difference. Wishing you all the very best! Thank you for sharing this post, and for being a part of the Hearth and Soul Link Party. Hope to see you again this week. Have a lovely week ahead!
