Motivational Monday

Happy Monday everyone!!

I am going to get right to it today!

Coming off of being sick last week...I went to the doctor for a check in and was weighed. UGH!

I knew I was not doing well on my weight but I had no idea I was my highest weight in a long time!!!

When I got sober I was over 300 pounds and I hated myself!!

I lost a lot of weight and have since regained some but I am WAY heavier than I suspected!!!

Starting today I am getting serious for 2019 - I am 50 now and want to live a long full life.

With my psoriatic arthritis the worst thing for me is extra weight!!

So I am starting Motivation Mondays!!!

This will be my day to weight in every week. I will also offer it up for anyone interested to join me. You can weigh in or just leave an inspirational message or tip for others! Whatever you need to feel motivated to meet YOUR goal!!

So - here we go!!! Please join me if you have a goal or if you just need to give or get a little motivation!!
My current (and starting) weight is 240.8. UGH UGH UGH. Only down from here! HA!

Happy Monday ya'll!

  1. I live in this horror. When I got sick I got very large. Lost 85lbs. gained 20lbs when they put me on steroids for the mass in my eye. I lose 10lb and gain 10lb. I am being serious now. I must get this off. While people say it's only 20lbs but my clothes don't fit. And "only" is still hard to get off. I will still be chubby after having lost this but my closhes will fit. I can't afford new clothes. If I can do this you can do this. I am 62. So by summer I should be in my clothes and be chubby and I can live with chubby at this age. I fell off the wagon this weekend but I just dusted myself off and here we go again. I need to learn to deal with the stresses of life without food. Easier said than done isn't it? You got this Ann, we're here for you!!

  5. I don't know how/what protocol you're following … but I found this Facebook site (Keto with Courtney) to be chock full of positivity and support. https://www.facebook.com/groups/gettingskinnywithcourtney/

No matter how badly I slip-up, I'm always cheered up by visiting.

  7. I weigh everyday and record it everyday. I have a water issue and can gain five pounds in two days... all in my ankles. I know from personal experience (up and down, up and down) that it is a head game. You just have to get your head straight and then you can do it. Perhaps your Motivation Monday will help me get my head back in the game. I really need to lose 25-30 pounds before I can even think about getting my knees done. Let's do it!

  9. I think most of us battle this when we get older. I know I do. I need to lose 20 pounds, but I don't seem to ever do that. We have too many places we go that have food everywhere. Do very well at home, but not when we go out. Bugger.

Nice to meet you Ann. I think we just need to do one step at a time and not beat ourselves up when we fail, just get back on track.

    Have a fabulous day. ♥

  10. You should be very proud of your sobriety, Ann! You can definitely get back on track with your weight. Celebrate every little victory, and definitely don't be ruled by the scale. Even incorporating a walk every day could make all the difference. Wishing you all the very best! Thank you for sharing this post, and for being a part of the Hearth and Soul Link Party. Hope to see you again this week. Have a lovely week ahead!
