I Rocked the Re-start

I am ready to report in after a highly successful re-start of my first day!!!

Yesterday this is the log of my food...

Breakfast was Jimmy Dean Delights breakfast sandwich...

Lunch was a baked chicken breast and a sliced cucumber...
Snacks throughout the day (before 6 PM) were banana, apple, carrots and celery and yogurt.

And dinner was a baked chicken breast and multi grain rice.


I did awesome!!! I even stayed right under my recommended calorie intake for the day!  

When I got home from work I watched all the shows I had taped from the night before (I go to bed early these days) and then ate dinner.  

After dinner, I took your suggestions and went for a walk (in the rain I might add) and then pulled out my old cross stitch to keep my hands busy when I get home before bed!

And guess what....NO SNACKING OCCURRED!!!!

I got this!!! Thanks to all of you and your suggestions, I got this!!!

Who else is obsessed with too many shows that they don't have time to watch them all!??! I taped like 20 shows from Monday night (Manifest, Teen Mom 2, Vanderpump Rules, all the comedies) I am TV obsessed right now!!! HA!

  2. WELL DONE LADY! You have got this.

    One trick that has helped me with snacking....brushing my teeth. Sounds weird but a lot of things don’t taste so good right after brushing. I keep those little disable tooth brushes in the car too. It helps.

    1. That does not sound weird at all! I actually did that! After dinner I immediately brushed to let myself know I WAS DONE! I think that helped too!! Thanks for the kind words Linda - I am ready to crush this and feel better about myself!!!!!

  3. Good job!!! You may wish to add some veggies in there woman! That chicken and rice would have been a good place to add them. I have found an enormous amount of veggies ( I prefer them roasted) will fill me up far more than grains like rice. Just a tip.
    You got this! And when you fall, no problem, just start again.
    It says on your tracking you didn't exercise but if you walked that is exercising.You were moving. I'm sending positive mojo your way. :-)

    1. Oh yes, I agree Margaret! I had tons of celery, carrots and cucumbers!!! HA! I had the measured amount of rice for one serving...just changing it up! HA! My exercise is tracked in my apple watch so it does not transfer to the My Fitness Pal app. The food transfers into the Apple data though but I cant show the breakdown once it transfers in so I thought it was easier to show the food part. I make sure to get at least 1/2 hour of exercise everyday no matter what...thanks for the kind words and encouragement! Hugs

  4. Like you, my Danger Zone are evenings. Even when I'm NOT hungry; geesch! It's been more than 5 years, but I still catch myself wanting a cigarette to curb my appetite. No dice, huh? I should really look into crochet or knitting lessons.

    1. The smoking never helped curb my appetite...I just ate and smoked - HA!!!! The cross-stitch really helped - the time flew by and next thing I knew it was time for bed!

  5. Good for you. I always love when my calorie count is where it should be & not ZOOMING past.
    I always say its no wonder my DVR doesnt smoke with all the shoes I record :)

    As for snacking.. I brush my teeth or have peppermint, it usually works. LOL

  7. haha you sound just like me with the shows! Way to go on the eating - my biggest thing is snacking at night and ugh it gets me every time! Thanks for the motivation!
