Stridebox November Subscription Box

Here is the loot that was in my November Stridebox! Like I said in my previous post; this is my favorite of all the subscription boxes I have tried so far! It is always great stuff and alot of new fun things to try.

This is the contents list. It gives you the cost of the products you are sampling and a short description of each product...

Here are some Energems...this is a BIG box to sample! I am taking these to Kristy's classes next week! hee hee

TWO packs of Smarty Pants - these are chewy vitamins - each pack contains one day supply of multivitamin, Omega 3 and vitamin D

An energy and restore powder to mix into water...This will come with me tonight to my work out!

This looks a little scary....it is a Turkey, almond, cranberry protein bar....sounds a little odd but I will let you know. It is also a HUGE bar...so I hope it is good! Maybe I will eat for dinner one day this week ?!

Then we have some lip gloss and lip salve...BIG samples also!! The gingerbread lip gloss smells amazing!!!!
 

And finally, this cool little gummy light...you hook it to your finger or a bag, etc. for running when it may be dusk or darker out...hit the light once and it flashes constant, hit it again and it flashes slowly in different colors...this is awesome!!!!! I LOVE it!! And also included in the bottom of my box were two cute little stickers that say Keep Calm and Run On!!!

This all was $10 (including shipping).  

Like I stated; this is my favorite most months but I will post the others as they come in the mail this month and you can see what I get from each and decide for yourselves.

Subscription Boxes - My New Obsession

I may or may not be obsessed with subscription boxes! I LOVE them! It is like a couple little presents I send to myself every month and it is a great way to hear about new products and fun things!!!

I have done Birchbox the longest. It comes once a month for $10. It is okay but the samples are always so small that it is hard to tell if you really like something or if something really works when you can only apply it to a small area of your face instead of you whole face.

Ipsy is one of my newer ones and it is my favorite now for makeup! It comes once a month also and is only $10. It almost always has at least one, if not two or more, full sized products for you to try.

Graze is a new one that was recommended by friend at work...I have not gotten my first box yet but I can't wait to see what it will be like....it comes twice a month for $12 ($6 every 2 weeks).

Stridebox is another great one! I think this is my favorite of all!!!  It is all running and fitness...like bars, drinks, etc.  It comes once a month loaded with lots of fun and delicious products to try.  This is all going to come in handy when I start marathon training in a few months :-)

Honda Rocks!!!!

Awesome Honda!! I got this letter in the mail the other day...I knew my car had weird white circles on the roof and it is only five years old. I took it into the dealership and they showed me more paint issues I had not even seen!

When it was all said and done I am getting my roof, hood, and both front fenders repainted....yippee!! It will be like new again! Honda is also getting me a rental car for three days to have this done as I have no family near here to lend me a car. Seriously, thank you Honda...they do not normally do this but it is sooo helpful!! Here are photos of the icky paint!

 

 

I took "my baby" to the shop this morning and got my rental car there. I am having the work done by Kilkeary's Auto Body. They were recommended by my dealership and my family has had a lot of work done there and they are great! Sooo excited to see my baby's new paint job in a few days!!!

My rental car is from Enterprise and is a lovely BRIGHT blue Chevy Forte.  It is an okay car so far having only driven it to work on the highway.  There is NO pickup at all though...very sluggish!! It have a shifter that will let me shift into manual transmission so I am going to try it on the way home...I am used to stick so the transmission is just KILLING me!! I do however love that I can still use a USB port for my iPod and I have heated seats...they ROCK especially since we got our first snow day here in PA this am!

Five on Friday

It's that time again!!! Five on Friday!!

First off I am sooooooooooooooo glad it is Friday!!

This week I am going to post my five favorite things from Sephora!!!

Yea!!!!!!!!!


Sooooo Number One!!! My all time favorite lip gloss!!! It tingles and feels soooo amazing!! I have about four now!!! THE BEST!!!

 

Number two:  Another miracle product!!! I got a little tester of this and have loved it ever since!!! I put it on before I use my Bare Minerals powder foundation and it sets perfectly!!! LOVE THIS!!!!!!

 

Number three:  My to die for foundation powder!! I love this and as a person that hates make-up; I use this everyday before I leave the house - except to go to the gym!!! Amazing coverage and feels soooo light like you are wearing NO makeup!!!

 

Number four:  I used this in the store today and LOVED it!!! Hopefully it works as well at home - hee hee!!!

 

Number five:  This is the best file ever!! It is cute and stylish and comes in it's own little case for your purse. AWESOME!!! It lasts forever too - I have had this a long time and it is not even worn at all!!! Great nail file!!!

 

AND FINALLY why I love Sephora (no, this is not a sponsored ad...I wish they would pay me - hint hint!!!!)  They let you try anything!!!!!!! If you cant try it there, they will give you some to go and let you try it at home. I love my current brand of primer (pictured above) but a friend has been telling me she loves Urban Decay's primer so when I was there today I got a little sample to be able to try it and see if it compares or if I like it better (pictured below).  I LOVE Sephora and could browse and try products in the for HOURS!!!  Check it out!!! Esp my Buxom lip gloss!!!!

1. What is something you learned in the last week?

At work I learned how to search for paid invoices in our SAP system - that was fun.

For exercise I learned that Body Pump will make you VERY sore - for days!!

For personal I learned that all men have issues - I just may be too old to want to deal with it!

 

2. What is the best and worst gifts you have ever received?

The worst gift was a tin snail wall hanging from the dollar store - I refuse to say more

The best gift was being asked to be a godmother and EVERY time I got to be an Aunt!

 

3. If you could stay a certain age forever, what age would it be?

 I think I would pick the age I am now. I often wish I was younger but then I guess I would have to go back to the same thinking I had then and I would hate that! I love who I have become based on my experiences up to now but I would love a younger body with less aches and pains after workouts - hee hee!!!

 

4. What would you name the autobiography of your life?

 Grateful!

 

5. At what age did you become an adult?

Every time I think I am almost there; I take a few steps back...I think maybe by the time my time here on earth has ended I will be one! Although, I am seriously not sure I ever DO want to be an adult! HA

 

 

 

Just a check in

Soooo much to report but so little to report...haha!

First off, has anyone tried this DietBet website (www.dietbet.com)? I kept hearing about it and kept thinking there has to be some kind of gimmick, it cant be as easy as it sounds. You pay between $5 and $50 to join a 4 week or bet...you have to lose 4% of your current body weight in the next four weeks (they also have 10 week bets). The "winners" are the ones that lost the 4% and they split the pot of money.  This sounds like great motivation to me but there has to be a gimmick, right? No - there is not!  I just did one to try it out because I decided you cant possibly win money for losing weight and I won! YIPPEE!!! I lost 12 pounds and only needed to lose 8 or something like that../so I put in $20 to play and came out with $34!!! AWESOME! Check it out - it rocks!!

Next - check out these cool pictures of turkeys at work. Yup, you heard me right...turkeys at work! We have wildlife sustainability and a lot of land surrounding our work campus and we have deer and turkeys galore!! I was so excited to see the turkeys up close when I was leaving yesterday - they are so pretty!! I may not be able to eat turkey this year at Thanksgiving :-(

Also wanted to show you my new obsession on Facebook...I love Bitstrips!! It is a free app for iPad and iPhone and it is soooo fun - you turn yourself into a comic and get to post really fun things :-)

And here is my feelings so far this week....I did Body Pump on Sunday and Monday for the first time and now I cannot move at ALL!!! Every part of me hurts (legs and arms the worst!!!).  It hurts to lift my coffee to drink it!!! For REALZ!!!!  I was going to take last night off but decided I could power through a dancey Zumba class and some Yoga...well, tonight is definitely a night off!!! STAYING HOME so I can walk on Thursday!!!! HA

Happy Halloween YINZ!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 I hope you all have an amazing and fun night taking the kiddos trick or treating!!! I do not have kids and in my condo I do not get trick or treaters so I think I will get to the gym early and then carve my three pumpkins to get in the spirit!!!!!!

I normally carve them way earlier than this and light them up each night but have not felt like it this year.?.?.?

I will carve them if only to be able to sort out the guts and make roasted pumpkin seeds - MY FAV!!!!!!!!!

So, have a great Halloween and I will leave with pics of my adorable nieces and nephew that will be trick or treating a state away tonight - these are the times I sooooo wish I lived closer!!!!!!!!!!! Also also pics of their pumpkins which turned out pretty great (I think Daddy carved them)!!!!!! hee hee

My nieces were Dorothy and Glenda the Good Witch from Wizard of Oz and my nephew was a plastic army man.  Cute, hugh?!?!?! My sister made the army man costume (pretty crafty right?) I think she got it from pintrest.
