I normally don't post on Friday's but I missed yesterday because I had nothing to report.
And...I still have nothing to report but I am posting anyway - LOL!!!
I am so super spoiled with online shopping - anyone else???? I just hop online whenever I need anything and order...next thing you know, it is at my door!! Life is good today!!!! I can not tell you the last time I went to the store and had to lug home heavy cans of cat food, cat litter, bird seed...etc.
I just order all the heavy stuff (and light stuff) via Chewy or Amazon Prime and it is there within two days! Very grateful from this option!!!
Okay - so here is my latest breakfast go to...I am sharing because they are delicious and I realized I am saving a lot of money doing this. I used to buy a breakfast sandwich every morning or get the frozen ones. They are expensive in the long run but if you get everything and make your own it is WAY cheaper!
So this morning I went to Walmart to get the ingredients...
I found these totes on clearance for $5 - we use these to store cookies when we bake at Thanksgiving...it is a huge thing for my family. Here is the post from last year if you are new here...
Here is all I got to make my breakfast sandwich....this makes A LOT!!!
Turkey patties...just heat in the microwave...
Egg patties...I know this is the epitome of lazy but it is the perfect circle and so easy to just heat it in microwave...
Then I add some light string cheese in between and it just gets a little perfectly melty...
And lasty I use the 100 calorie muffins. I do toast it and then put the sandwich together!
I was SUPER hungry after two barre classes this morning so I actually added an additional egg. I normally just use one. Delicious!! The whole thing in only 320 calories and I am full all morning!! I just love that I can put this together myself and save some money.
As I was eating, Faith was investigating....here she is trying to get a much of my sandwich!!!
That's all I have today. Nothing exciting is new but I think sometimes that is perfect!
Happy to have a few chill days!!! Hugs to you all!!!!
What is your go to breakfast? Do you eat fast food? Are you an online shopper?
We don't eat a lot of fast food. I rarely have breakfast either. Maybe once a week. Most of the time I have Lean Cuisine stuff like macaroni and cheese, turkey and dressing and the like. Pop it in the microwave and you're done.
ReplyDeleteHave a fabulous day and weekend. ♥
That sounds like me Sandee. The easier the better! Cooking for one is so much work...HA! I have Lean Cuisine on hand for quick lunches...love those! Have a great weekend!!!!!! Thanks for stopping by!!!!! HUGS
DeleteThe egg sandwich looks yummy
ReplyDeleteIt is really delish and pretty cheap too! Have a great day!
DeleteI've been mostly skipping breakfast lately since I keep going out to lunch. I need to get back to making some egg cup things.
ReplyDeleteThose egg cups in muffin tins are good too - I have just sucked on feed prep lately! Oh well, cant get it all right, right?!?! You are killing it on your dinners!!! They look amazing and you are cooking every night! Great job! Have a great day Julie!
DeleteI am totally addicted to online shopping after this past Christmas. I did nearly all of my shopping that way and I was able to find really cool, out of the ordinary things besides what people wanted. I loved not having to take my valuable time to schlepp to the mall or wherever...and it's so much fun to come home from work to those Amazon boxes smiling at me from the porch. lol
ReplyDeleteMy go-to breakfast is usually last night's leftovers, but I'm trying to break that habit and be healthier. *sigh* I usually have a packet of maple/brown sugar oatmeal and a yogurt. I will occasionally make breakfast sandwiches, but I like to add either tomato or pineapple to mine (both are round!)
I'm not big on fast food. Arby's is the only place I really like and once in a while I will crave some Taco Bell, but that's it.
I also crave Taco Bell sometimes! That is my only craving for fast food! Sometimes you just need a delicious taco!!!! I dont have one near my house so that helps but when I want it - I find it! HA! I will have to try pineapple on my sandwich now! Sounds yummy! That is my thought too - my Christmas shopping was SOOOO easy this year - I never left to house...no fighting mobs, etc. It was great - I am definitely spoiled! Have a great day Stacy!
DeleteLove online shopping. I usually manage free shipping or shipping to a pick up store. Breakfast for me is the same everyday. Two slices of whole wheat toast with peanut butter and a glass of cashew milk.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a yummy, well rounded, nutritional breakfast! I love peanut butter so much that I can not have it in my house! If I have it, I will eat it by the spoonful!!! No willpower-peanut butter is one of my favorite things!!!!!!! HA HA! Have a great day Patti!
DeletePretty amazing that such a breakfast burger comes in at 320 calories. My mother has a friend who now never leaves her house except for medical appointments and she has pretty well lost the ability to drive. She buys everything online and her hairdresser comes to her. But is buying online a good thing for the world, and yes, of course I have. But all these delivery vans running around our cities putting extra pollution into the atmosphere and causing traffic congestion. I fear it will only become worse over time.
ReplyDeleteAgreed! Also, the little local stores are losing money too. But...it is so convenient it is terrible. We (or I) am becoming a very lazy people! HA! Have a great day Andrew!
DeleteYears ago I used to buy the sausage patties and egg patties to put together a quick breakfast sandwich. I really liked them.
ReplyDeleteIt is super yummy! And quick and easy too! HA! Game changer for me! Have a great day Ann! Hugs
DeleteI used to buy the Jimmy Dean breakfast sandwiches to take to work for breakfast. I will look for those egg patties!!
ReplyDeleteIt tastes even better than those already made ones I think and you can add your own cheese, etc. I actually found the egg patties at Walmart in the breakfast freezer area. You should have them at your Walmart too. Have a great day Terri!
DeleteI always make my own breakfast: two slices of bread with cold meat or peanut butter or some such. The same for lunch: always make my own. Nearly everybody does! I couldn't imagine spending money each day to buy a breakfast, which a. is expensive and b. contains more fat and sugar than the one I make myself! Win-win.
ReplyDeleteThat is exactly my thoughts Mara! So expensive to eat out and so much cheaper to make yourself. We think the same! Have a fantastic day - HUGS
DeleteI always make my own breakfast- Non-sodium english muffins from Trader Joe's, peanut butter with a slice of cheddar cheese in it. The cheese and peanut butter I have been eating since I was a little kid. At lunch I always bring my own. I do cooking during the weekend and I parcel it out for the week. This week it is homemade chili beans and homemade meatloaf.
ReplyDeleteHope you are having a wonderful weekend.
Thanks Patrick! I have never had peanut butter with cheddar cheese? I does not seem like they go together but I am definitely going to try it since you told me about it! Homemade chili and meatloaf sound delicious! I love cold meatloaf the day after for a sandwich - little mustard and it is heaven!!! YUM! Have a fantastic day Patrick!
DeleteThat does look like a healthy breakfast and you could slice peppers or cheeses or tomatoes to change if you wanted.
ReplyDeleteExactly!!! Change it up a little - it is good with hot pepper cheese too! Yummy!! Have a great day Tabor!
DeleteOnline shopping is a wonderful thing!
ReplyDeleteI usually have oatmeal with banana and raisins and milk for breakfast - make it up the night before and zap it in the morning.
I love oatmeal too! That is normally my other go to breakfast! Starbucks has great steel cut oatmeal with dried fruit and nuts...really yummy!!! I may have to try a banana sometime...that sounds yummy! Have a great day Abby! HUGS
DeleteYour breakfast sandwich sounds good. I don't really have a go to breakfast. I do order online, but also shop in the local stores. And yes to eating fast food, but I prefer diner or deli fare.
ReplyDeleteI love all of our "kitchy" local stores - I just hardly ever go shopping and browsing anymore - it is all done from home sadly! I may make a point to browse a local area of stores this weekend to support local! Thanks for the reminder. HUGS Robin! Have a great day!
DeleteI don't have a go-to breakfast...because I don't usually eat breakfast. I save my calories for the rest of the day:) But yes I do a good bit of online shopping, especially at Christmas. I hate the crowds at the malls during that time. Amazon has definitely spoiled me, although I've learned to be cautious with them. Sometimes you don't get what you thought you would get! And I do try to order from places with free shipping if at all possible...some of the shipping costs are ridiculous. And yes, I do eat fast food (unfortunately)...not too often though. We live in a small town and so our choices of restaurants is very slim.
ReplyDeleteI would starve without breakfast Cheri! LOL! I wake up so hungry every morning. I have been trying to hold off until after my exercise classes in the am to eat breakfast and by then I am famished!!! I am the same with online shopping...I only buy from Amazon and those with reasonable shipping...shipping on some sites is crazy!! Have a fantastic day! Thanks for stopping by!!! HUGS
