4th of July Part 2

Hey everyone! Welcome to part two of the Fourth of July post!

We decided to do an evening pontoon ride with the whole family out to the middle of the lake to watch the fireworks. We went out early and just anchored in the middle of the lake until it got dark enough for the fireworks to start. Here is the back of the boat… Left to right is my father, my sister‘s husband Steve, my nephew Ryan, my niece Aly, and my niece Kyleigh.

And here is the front of the boat… Left to right my sister Susan, my mom, my niece Jessica, my great niece Leighton, and my sister Kerry.

here are just a couple fireworks…

Ahhhhhh…I love the reflection on the lake!

On the actual holiday we had another visitor join us… my Aunt Marti. She came to spend the day and we all went for a pontoon ride. She was being goofy and posing with her hands on her cheek. Lol!

cute picture of my dad with his dog…

I love this re-creation… My parents dog Gracie is a year old now. We actually re-created the picture almost to the date of when they got her a year ago. Man she grew up quick!! What a sweetie she is though!

Little cutie patootie out on the patio… She loved this little beach chair.

this young man went with my father and played in the closest to the pin on Fourth of July holiday. There’s a small nine hole course at my parents lake and every Fourth of July they have closest to the pin. This young man actually won it this year!!! Sooo awesome!!! He was 5 feet 4 inches! Yay Ryan! He got $117 which was half the donations collected!

Winner winner chicken dinner!!!! Yay

I hope everyone is having a fantastic week!!!

Sending so many hugs!!! Love ya’ll!!

Still On Break

Happy happy Friday! I cannot believe it’s Friday already. I also cannot believe that school prep starts next week. It’s been a wonderful and relaxing break. I’ve spent a whole Lotta time catching up on new Netflix shows and also a whole lot of time painting.

Here is a cute paint by numbers that I got in one of my subscription boxes… I think it was from the fab fit fun subscription box - but don’t quote me on that. Ha!

Here’s a close-up so you can see how tiny the numbers are…

And here is the picture zoomed out. I’m almost done and it was so much fun! I wanted to read a few books for fun but I thought it was best if I give my reading eyes a break.

Here’s all the things the kids come with. A bunch of different colored paints that obviously are numbered and also multiple brushes to use depending on the size of the area you’re painting.

The paint by number said it would take 12 hours. Mine took way longer than that… This could be one of the reasons. Every time I’m doing something at the kitchen table one by one all the cats come to visit. The last thing I need is a cat paw in my paint and then have them running all over my house. Lol!

Thanks again for all the supportive comments on my post on Nermal. He’s doing really great with the shots and he’s eating the food he supposed to so fingers crossed I think we’re on the upswing. In the picture above is Trouble.

Have y’all ever done a paint by number? How did it turn out? What other arts and crafts do you enjoy? Do your pets have to get involved in everything you’re doing also?

Have a happy happy Friday! Love you all - hugs!!

Merry Christmas Day

Happy birthday Jesus!!!

Here is a recap of the past few days with my sister and her family hanging out with my parents for Christmas!

A few days before Christmas me and my mom went to visit my aunt Kathy at her home. She is now staying in a memory home because she has what appears to be the beginning of Alzheimer’s. She still knows who we are so that is a big blessing! We went to visit and I got cute picture my mom, my Aunt Kathy and myself. My Aunt Kathy’s in the middle. My aunt Kathy is amazing! She’s one of my Aunts that stayed single my whole life so she would come on vacation with our family every year when we were kids. I absolutely love her to death.

Christmas Eve night we played this really fun game with a bottle of saran wrap. They giant ball that you try to unwrap with oven mitts on. The person in front of you keeps trying to roll doubles, your turn it over as soon as they get doubles. The goal is to unwrap as much cellophane as you can and you get any goods that fall out of the ball. It was filled with lottery tickets, gift cards, gum, hi-chews, baby Nutella‘s… You get the idea! The picture below is two of my nieces…

More fun…that’s my Dad to the right and niece and nephew…

And there’s Mom… my sister, Mom and myself decided we would all share our loot there in the middle… Lol! The children were not sharing their loot… Ha ha

Then we played another game I saw on TickTock called reindeer ears. The first team to fill their pantyhose with five balloons and put the hose on their head one. We were the losing team but our ears look awful cute - this picture is my Mom and niece.

After we played a few games we decided to drive around the lake and look at everybody’s lights. This is the house that won the award for the best decorated. They actually have an outhouse with Santa sitting in it… The kids were quite amused!

Christmas day we were all entertained, even the dog, by my nieces guitar playing. She’s taking lessons and loves it… She’s getting really good! I can’t wait till summer comes around again and we can do sing-along‘s at the campfire

My sisters family had to leave to go to her husband side of the family later in the evening on Christmas day. It was just my Mom, Dad and myself for the rest of Christmas Day so we just kind of hung out, talked, and did some puzzles.

Here’s the picture we got before we left for church… This is in front of my parents tree.

And this is the picture we got in church… Everybody looks really bright! I think the birth of baby Jesus was shining through!

I will leave you with one final picture…

My nieces and nephew got a picture of mini years ago with who they thought was Santa. It really was my dad dressed up like Santa. My niece Kyleigh was four and the twins, Aly and Ryan were three. Aly hated Santa! She was terrified and cried the entire time… She had no idea it was my father. We asked the kids to re-create the picture this year and this is what they came up with…

Seriously!?? Melt my heart!!

Merry Christmas, happy holidays!!! No matter what or how you celebrate…I hope your heart is full and you show others love today!!

Hugs everyone!!!

Happy 4th of July

Happy 4th of July everyone!!!

I hope you all had an amazing holiday weekend!

It was super hot in Pittsburgh over the 4th of July weekend. We made it to the mid 90's!!! I love hot weather so I was a super happy camper!

As I do on almost every weekend in summer; I spent the 4th of July with my family at my parents house on Lake Mohawk.

Here are a few from the past years...

2015 - Luau

The kids painted my nails for me...here we are styling....

Every year at Lake Mohawk there is a decorated boat parade. We choose a theme every year and this year we went patriotic with the other boats. Here is the pontoon decorated and ready to go. You can not tell here but the balloons had lights in them.

Here is a side view...

My Mom and sister...

My Dad, Ryan, Kyleigh, Aly and Steve (my brother in law)

Madelyn and Myself

As we drove around the lake there were so many fireworks...the public display was cancelled but people in their homes surely came through with a lot of noise!

So many boats participated this year! It us usually under 1 but this year we had 20 easily!

Spent the entire next day floating - literally!!! It was 95 degrees that weekend!!! This is where you will find me in the lake! HA!

Brody too!! The kids just swim all day if they are not skiing or tubing.

Here I am on the flamingo float!

Floating away....

My Aunt Marti came up for a picnic with everyone. It was great to see her too!! That is her on the far left!

Here is my brother in law Steve. Every year he debuts a new patriotic outfit. This was a winner!! HA! It is from Walmart and he said it had long pants but he cut them off into shorts! HA HA!

Here is the whole family at the campfire.  The kids were super excited because we were making hobo pies on the fire for dessert.

Do you know what a hobo pie is? It is two pieces of buttered white bread with pie filling in the middle. My family always uses cherry but you can use any pie filling you want. You put that in a pie iron and roast it on the fire. SOOOO YUMMY!!

We also always have sparklers at the campfire for the kids on 4th of July weekend.  Here is Kyleigh!!

And Aly
And Brody...
And Aly and Madelyn

Here is my sister and her hubby...

Another Aly....

And last but not least; this was set to me from my friend in San Diego. This is her daughter Charlotte Magdelana (Nena) and their dog Duke. Sooooo Cute, right?!?!?!

Happy 4th of July from my family to yours!!!

HUGS TO EVERYONE and thank you for stopping by!!!

How was your holiday weekend? Have you ever eaten a hobo pie or smores? Do you like them? Do you ever cook on a campfire? How are you feeling today?
