Liberty Rocks

As I mentioned in my last post; I came home from vacation after the quarantine had already begun and he hoarding had already begun in Pittsburgh, PA.

I found groceries and staples and then thought it would be nice to get a few puzzles. So, off I went to target and there were NONE left on the shelves!! People had hoarded puzzles also!!! I was out of luck!!

I went home and tried to find one online and on Amazon and none were left ANYWHERE!!!

The I thought maybe I could find a different kind of puzzle.

So I went back to Target and bought the one of the only Lego sets that was left!! HA! I think it was left because of the cost but it was sooo much fun to put together!!!! I am now addicted to Architecture Legos!! I put this together and took it apart multiple times. I think I completed it a total of four times and then I took it apart again and gave it to my nephews so they could put it together too.

Here it is in steps...

Like I said, it was super fun to build and it is so life-like in the end! Awesome!

During quarantine I also spent many many hours snuggling with all my furry babies. I think they are really going to suffer when I have to go back to working in a building and not at home. We have all become super tight through this quarantine.

Another favorite thing during my quarantine time was swinging on my porch and staring at this tree. It is sooo beautiful in the Spring...this picture does not do it justice!

Closer.....

Just a couple of my snuggle buddies...

Sooooo cute!!!!!!

I hope you all are having a great week!!

Did you puzzle during the quarantine? What were your families favorite activities to spend time? Are you still quarantined or have you go back to work and you "outside" routines?

HUGS to everyone!!!!

    1. HA HA Kathy! TO be honest I have NO patience but with the Corona virus I had WAYYYY too much time on my hands stuck at home. HAHA! I took my time following the step by step book that comes with it and it ended up being super fun! Have a great day! HUGS

  2. That lego building is pretty cool. I didn't do any puzzles at all during the quarantine. It's just me here so I guess the favorite activity was to sit and watch tv. I've worked all along so never had the extra time off that some have had.
It was really bad here at the stores in the beginning and even now some of them still aren't stocked very well. It was crazy how people were hoarding things.

    1. Stores here are struggling to restock things as well and. There's a lot of things that still aren't in stock in Pittsburgh. I watched a lot of TV to… I borrowed my brothers Netflix account and watched all of Orange is the New Black and all of Schits Creek and all of Ozarks. That's when I decided I need to walk away from the TV… LOL! But I seriously loved Orange is the New Black. Oh and I also watched Tiger King craziness! That was great fun!

  3. I've been working from home since March. New job, I started working for this employer just as quarantine started. No time for puzzles.

    1. Well that's wonderful timing!!! What a great way to stay occupied! I was still working through the whole thing as well but I had evenings and weekends where I was very bored! I'm used to being with my family so being alone with the cats 24 seven was a little much LOL! But I'm super happy to hear you started a new job and I hope it's going well!

  4. I have tons of Big Fish games. Puzzles, hidden objects and many other games. I had plenty of games to keep me busy. I also have a pile of books to read. All is well. Yes hoarding was the watchword for a very long time.

    Have a fabulous day. ♥

  5. My adult son loves doing those lego sets. He started doing them before lockdown but had trouble finding new ones once people started staying home. I think people were looking for something new to do!

My daughter is worried how her dogs will do when she has to go back to the office. She and her boyfriend have 3 huskies and the one who was my daughter's before they got together is very clingy. She was a rescue dog and is very attached to daughter. Shasta (dog) was doing well but now that daughter has been home a while she is very clingy - follows daughter everywhere again. Daughter is dreading how it will be when she does go back to work. Daughter has been home before lockdown as her work had people working from home when this first started and don't look to be going back until at the earliest September.

    1. Your daughters job sounds like mine. They're just starting to talk about people going back in September in every other area but since our location is closing we will probably just continue to work from home until we let go around September. I'm just happy not to go into the office every day! I hope your daughters dogs adjust well… My cats are doing that exact same thing! So clingy and following me around - when I go to my parents on the weekends I see them just laying around looking depressed… I hope I'm wrong and I hope they will adjust well once I let go and have to find a new job in the office! Have a great day Sharon… Hugs!

    1. LOL! Don't be impressed Andrew it comes with a book and literally step-by-step instructions for each brick. If I had to figure it out myself it would've never been completed! I didn't realize they all come with books and the books make it so much simpler! And also so much fun! Have a great day Andrew !! Hugs!

  7. You have waaaaay more patience than I do. I'd still be sitting here looking at a box of blocks. I did a lot of reading and watched a lot of Netflix (I don't usually watch much TV at all).

    1. Honestly Stacy I think you would love it! I had no idea comes with the book with step-by-step instructions and pictures. They show you exactly what to click together brick by brick! They make it so easy I love it! I really got obsessed… I have no idea how much fun Legos were! I read Too but I watched way too much Netflix. I finished the entire series beginning to end of Orange is the New Black, The Ozarks, The Tiger King and Schits Creek… That's when I walked away !!! Ha!!! Have a fantastic day! Hugs!

  8. No puzzles here. I can't even imagine trying to work a jigsaw with three cats wanting to help! We just watch TV. Marathon after marathon...

    1. Oh yes Teri… The puzzle was not a good idea. Toward the end of quarantine I finally borrowed one from my parents and you are correct… It was the best toy ever as the cats constantly knocked all the pieces off the table! But they didn't seem to bother Legos… Strange? I also watched way too much television and way too much Netflix exclamation ! I think the most memorable was The Tiger King!

  9. No puzzles here, I was doing the Distance Learning thing-teaching through the computer. LOL.

We are still under Shelter-In-Place. I just read that every county in the SF Bay Area will be allowing outdoor dining except one and that is Alameda County, where I reside.

Kudos to you for teaching through the computer… What an adjustment teachers had to make! You all are definitely heroes in my book! You guys stepped up and made it work… Impressive! Have a great day… Hugs!

  10. Oh my, I want that Lego set. I have the Gingerbread House that I got for Christmas but haven't started it yet. Your babies are so cute! The tree is beautiful in bloom.

    1. Hi Debby! The gingerbread house sounds absolutely adorable! I have not seen that yet but I might have to look into that since they are my new obsession! You can pick up the Statue of Liberty and many other city Legos at target. It's called architecture Lego and they're sold right next to the kids Legos. They're a little more expensive but they look so realistic it's amazing! Thanks for stopping by and have an amazing day Debby! Hugs!

  13. I watch a lot of people who sell stuff on ebay on You Tube and they all sold out of puzzles lol.

My dogs will miss me if I ever go back to work in the office every day again. I was gone for 8 hours one day and they all thought I had died. They were so happy when I came back!

  14. Oh gosh! I didn’t realize puzzles were disappearing. I guess we bought them just in time. My daughter sent my husband one and she’d bought one for herself. Then we sent our puzzle to her and she sent us the one she completed. I also bought him one from Amazon for his Fathers Day gift. He’s been really enjoying the puzzles. And you know... we never did puzzles before this year. Your LEGO sets are beautiful. They look so intricate though.

  15. Word search and crossword puzzles here. Tried to find jigsaw puzzles, but no luck. Good for you on the Lego set! Things are starting to open up here, but wearing a mask is a nuisance (I understand the why, but for someone who is hearing impaired, it impacts communication).
