Walt's Lead in Monessen

Last night Walt, Boyd (Walt's friend) and I drove out to Monessen for Walt's lead.
For those of you that do not know what I am talking about; a lead is when someone in recovery tells their story, usually after a year or more sober, "What they were like, what happened and what they are like now" to others so that they can find hope and strength from finding out about others that are recovering and living life in recovery.
He did such a great job - it was an amazing hour filled with experience from the heart - annnnnnnnnnnd I got the opportunity to get lots of pics of him dresses up all perty!!!
Here he is ... my sweet, sweet baby!!!!!!! And some of me too....not soooo perty.... LOL!

And on another note: I drank my entire 64 oz. of water today (again plain old water....no powder additives, LOL!!!!)

PEWC Day 1 Completed

Wowsa!!
I have completed day one of PEWC (positive effects of water challenge) -at Kenz's!

The challenge is to drink your recommended 64 oz of water each day.

I did and I went and went and went - LOL!!! If you know what I mean?
I was really happy...I got 6 full 16 oz bottles in for the day without using any crystal light, etc.

Go me!!!

When we went to bed - Walt wathced a little "Monday Night Raw" and I tried to fall asleep but actually ended up in the bathroom about three times before we finally shut the tv and lights off.

I hope my body adjusts to this or maybe I need to drink most of it earlier in the day...any ideas???

Well, ready for Day 2 to begin....

Walt is leading tonight in Monessen at the family center so hopefully I will remember my camera and get some pics.

4th, Really?!?!?!?

This is truly sad!
I wish I could say that I am soo busy and do not have time to post.
But alas I am not...I am having a blogging block...I have stuff to say and pictures topost but no motivation to do so...
funk???? I dont know. Anyway, I am finally psoting fourth of July pictures...

Favorite Breakfast

Figured I would show you a pic of my new favorite breakfast!

It is soo yummy and good for you and keeps me full till lunch!



I saw this on someone elses blog as a frozen treat and I just skip the freeze part and eat it!!!!!



YUM!!!!!!!!!!



It is Fage greek yogurt (I usually get the 0% fat but they were sold out so I had to get the 2% this time). I add one packet of sweetner (I use Equal) and stir. Then stir in defrosted cherries (I buy the big bag of frozen ones and throw about 1/2 cup into a baggie and then by the time I get to work they are defrosted.



and then eat!!!!!!!!! YUM!!!!!!!



I promise if you try it you will love it! The Greek Yogurt is sooo much thicker than regular yogurt and has more protein so I guess it is supposed to be much better for you - I actually prefer it now to regular!!

The Producers

I spent my lunch hour today going out to purchase tickets for the musical The Producers.

This Friday my older sister, mother and I (little sister also usually goes with us too however she will be attending a family reunion with her husbands family - she will be missed!) will be going to see it at the Benedum in Pittsburgh and then they will spend the night at my condo with the Waliacha and I!! Yippee - company!!!!

I am happy to say that we got great seats and I am soooo excited to see that show with two if my very favorite people!

Thanks to Lou in the ticket booth for being soooo helpful AND funny when I purchased the tickets today after sitting in MUCH traffic and construction on Liberty Avenue!

Could it be MORE difficult to drive through the city of Pgh?!?!?!!?!?

I don't think so!!!!!!!!!

I pity anyone from out of town and trying to use a Garmin or Tom Tom....every road it directs you to is a Detour - scary!!!!!!!!!!!
