Walt's Lead in Monessen

Last night Walt, Boyd (Walt's friend) and I drove out to Monessen for Walt's lead.
For those of you that do not know what I am talking about; a lead is when someone in recovery tells their story, usually after a year or more sober, "What they were like, what happened and what they are like now" to others so that they can find hope and strength from finding out about others that are recovering and living life in recovery.
He did such a great job - it was an amazing hour filled with experience from the heart - annnnnnnnnnnd I got the opportunity to get lots of pics of him dresses up all perty!!!
Here he is ... my sweet, sweet baby!!!!!!! And some of me too....not soooo perty.... LOL!

This is Theo - it is a friend of ours' son and he is such a peanut....This was taken at a picnic we went to a week ago.

Here is Waliacha (Walt) at that same party....playing with the Camel puppet...and people wonder why I LOVE this man!!?!!?!!

This is one of our favorite couples to hang out with - they are sooooo much fun and we get together and just laugh and laugh!!!!!!!!

Here is a picture of a place where I led on Wednesday....very strange....we are all used to meetings in the basements of churches....but this one was at a mall.....very interesting!! Great group of people in Charleroi!!!!!!

And here it the title of the post!!! I got this card to call a number and get free Red Robin food to help with training the staff.......sooooo yummy!!! Here is when we went.....last night for date night and we took our favorite couple with us!!! It was awesome!!!! Best burger ever.......and free!!!

And here is our favorite couple....they brought us a huge piece of chocolate ice cream cake to share also.....sooooooooooooo yummy!!!

Another icky one of me and Waliacha....I hate myself in pics....hope someday that changes (my hair is definitely growing again though!!!!) getting a little longer!!!

I am stuck at work and it is sooooooo beautiful outside...like 84 degrees here in Pittsburgh, PA!!!



Tonight is date night so we will be walking the path (Waliacha and I) and then sitting on the porch and chillin'.



Sounds like fun to me!!!! Yeah!



Anyway - I will leave you with my favorite picture (as of lately) of my twin niece and nephew. When my sister was pregnant, everyone twin that approached her said "whatever you do, do NOT dress them alike!!!" Anyway, she never has and instead we switch their clothes for fun (well, I did) and I love this picture of Ryan and Alyssa!!!!! As if this is better than being dressed alike - LOL HA!

It's official....Wallyacha is gone....

OK! It's official. A week after X-mas cards went out....Walt and I are done.
I will be fine...just feels a little sucky right now.....lesson learned is, listen to your heart...if you have to work wayyyyyyyyyy harder than the other person...it just isn't worth it.......
So, looking for a new fish!!!
Or maybe just swim in my own school alone for a while!!!
This too shall pass!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Boys Stink!!!

Well, it's final - Boys stink! After yet another spat yesterday and "darling" Walt getting his fight on, I finally and officially quit trying. When he fights, its ...shut off the phone and disappear....this is not a healthy or adult way to argue and now for the fifth time I am finally done. He hung up on me yesterday afternoon and I have not heard from him since so when and IF I do....I will not be answering.....oh well, we made it to the 6 month mark....good enough.

So, I guess I am single .... Well, I am done ranting and maybe someday I will bump into a cute Normie at the Grocery store or gym and have some exciting dating stories to tell. trying to LOL :-}

Wally's lead....

The lead Friday night went really well....Walt looked stunningly handsome in his newly tailored suit and did a great and honest job with his lead. Afterwards everyone went out to Pizzaz for a little dinner and conversation (a great end to a great night!).

This weekend Dad and Walt finally put the rocks back on the wall that Dad had fixed last year...it looked great when they were done.....

I apologize for not posting before this but little innocent Kyleigh (seen below).....

is not as innocent as you would think. :-) It's amazing how a little innocent and adorable little thing can carry such horrid bugs around....so we all had a little flu Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday. Actually, I guess either me, Kyleigh or Mom could have given it to the others so it may not even be Kyleigh's fault this time! I will DEFINITELY get my flu shot for Thanksgiving! LOL

Halloween at Hunting Ridge

It's now official!!! It's almost Halloween!!!! Walt and I finally carved pumpkins last night...what fun that was! We each did a little one and a big one...obviously I was the judge and so I won the contest...pictures follow. We did have a minor (or major) bo-bo part way through when Walt did not know his own strength and broke the little green pumpkin carving knife (that he is using in the above pic) so he then proceeded to get a giant drywall saw to carve the pumpkins with!!!!
