Who is your favorite "Joe/Jo" and what can you tell us about him or her?

I have a couple! According to the "rules" we honor Josephine's too and that was my Grandmother that I miss so much! I talked about her in the posts with the cat clock and compact I have of hers!! She was my mother's Mom and she really was a very strong and special woman!  Also, my niece is Jordan and we call her JoJo so she is definitely another favorite Jo!!! She is a nurse now and is one of the smartest people I know! Love her so very much!!!

Who were you named for, and do you or did you know that person?

My grandmother told me I was named for Anne of Green Gables but my mother said that is not true...she just liked the name! LOL! So there's that! HA!

Do you have a middle name and do you like it/use it?

Yes, My middle name is Marie...it is the same as my mother's. I love when people roll it all together and call me Ann Marie (the doctors office does this - HA).

Have you ever named your car?  Tell us about it, please!

Nope - never...not sure why not though.

 

Tell us the name of a fictional character you have never forgotten and why you remember it so well.

I am going to go with Eleanor Oliphant from the book Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine by Gail Honeyman. I can not explain all the reasons why I love her so much but I love her spirit and her strength!!! I also am very drawn to people that are positive and naturally funny when they are not even trying to be.  If you have not read it, I promise you should.

I am back to work after vacation. It is Wednesday but it feels like it should be Friday by now! UGH! Days drag after vacation! Also, I am still coughing and congested and not feeling 100%. I drag my butt through the day but can't wait to climb into bed when I get home!!!!

I hope health is around the corner soon!!!! Fingers crossed!

Happy 17th Birthday Jordan!!!!!!!!!

Happy Birthday to my VERY FIRST NIECE EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!
She was born on this day in 1993 and I love her sooooooooooooo much!!!!
She had to wear braces for her legs when she was born and I was soooo scared to hold her at first.
She puked on anyone that dared to hold her and give her a bottle - she literally just gushed after every bottle - it is a miracle that she kept any milk down!
She has always hated bugs, sports and animals and always loved anything girly and clothes!!!!
The only thing she wanted for her 6th birthday was satin sheets for her bed!!!!
She has grown into a beautiful, amazing, smart, talented, funny, and strong-willed young woman!
I LOVE YOU JORDAN ELIZABETH with all my heart and soul!!!!
Thanks for being an amazing niece that I am sooooooooooooooo proud to know and love!!!!!

What is this about?!?!?! I have no idea! For the past week or so I have had NOTHING to write about.
I may be in seasonal affectiveness disorder overload!!!!
I need to go tanning TODAY - in fact, you have convinced me, I am going at lunch today!!!
Anyway, I will leave you with some fun pics (well, fun for my family)...here are my two adorable nieces when they were little - I just scanned this in and on facebook it created a huge stir with the family (everyone is posting that they are laughing so hard it hurts)...they are sooooo funny...in their hats and with their purses!!! They are 16 and 14 today so this is sooo funny to look back on this photo!!! I will post a somewhat recent one too so you can get the idea of why this is soooo funny!!

Halloween Decorating in Harrisburg

Hi all and Happy Monday!

Just writing to post some great pumpkin pics from the past weekend...

The first one (cute green pumpkin) is my work pumpkin...I did it myself!!!

You gotta love it, hugh?

The next two are the ones that the kids and I did tpogether in Harrisburg...Jessica did the spider in the web...Matt did the skull...Jessica's friend Logan did the smiley face....and I did the cat (suprise hugh?)

Oh my, and the best part of this post....first let my start by saying "I remember when Jordan was just born"...now cut to present day where Jordan is WORKING - yes WORKING!!!! Up early EVERY Saturday morning and answering phones for the car dealership....check her out - I AM SOOOOOOOO PROUD!!!! WOO HOO! Ain't she just soooooooooooooo cute! I got to go pick her up at work Saturday afternoon...WOW I am getting old!

Gotta get to the Hope meeting now....TTYL (I am getting good, hugh girls?)
