Never Buy GE Applicances

Just a Consumer FYI...

If you purchase a GE appliance...

It can break 3 times before they have to replace it under a lemon clause!!

This sounds ridiculous enough, right?!?! My BRAND NEW appliance has to break three times before GE will swap it with another one.

Well, it gets better than that!!!

Not only does it have to break 3 times in order to be considered a lemon but ALL THREE OF THOSE BREAKS HAVE TO OCCUR WITHIN 30 DAYS OF EACH OTHER!!! And trust me...mine happened within 32 days of each other and they would not replace it even when it was 1 month old!!! Lowe's stepped up and replaced it since GE would not. And that was only after I sat in the showroom, in person, crying in the appliance section of Lowe's.

Crazy!!!!!

The reason I am posting this is that a friend just purchased a refrigerator and is having issue after issue!!! I told her, if she would have asked me I would have warned her...

...never purchase GE appliances!!!!!!!!!

Dishwasher #2-Bosch

Happy weekend everyone!!! I am hoping this is the last of my dishwasher posts!!!!

After going to Lowe’s in person and actually sobbing in front of the manager, literally...they felt really bad and immediately said they would swap it out with a new dishwasher. They showed me a few different ones to choose that were not GE and I selected the Bosch ( The manager said they have the least amount of repairs).  They are swapping it out for me at no cost!

That happened today!  The plumber was Matt Brown and he was fantastic!!!! Here is the old one in the hallway after it was removed...may I never see another GE appliance EVER!!!!

And this is the new Bosch going in! Fingers crossed this will run for many years!!!!

Yeah!!!!!

 Right after the plumber left I got a call that I won a gift basket for a raffle entered at Eat n Park! Hopefully  this signifies my luck is changing… Fingers crossed!  

I ran down to pick it up at the restaurant right away!!! Soooo excited!!!  Here’s what I won...

I won the Italian Basket!! It had Sarris chocolate pretzels, Ghiradelli chocolates, $25 Olive Garden gift card, wine glasses, bottle of wine, wine bottle stopper, pasta, sauce! Pitzelles and olive oil!!!! Wow! So cool!!!

Yummy!!!!!! Thanks again Eat n Park!!! I don’t drink so my family will be getting the glasses and wine!!!!

OMG!!! Again!!! GE Dishwasher Third Service Call...UPDATE: THANK YOU LOWE'S

You will never believe what happened last week!!!! Or maybe you will...

I was chilling after work and decided to put the clean dishes away from the dishwasher.

As I grabbed dishes to put in the cabinets, I noticed a ton of water in the bottom of the dishwasher.   After the dry cycle ran and dishes were done; there is still about an inch of water left in the bottom of the dishwasher!!!! UGH!

I called the Lowes service number and they came today. Unfortunately, we are becoming BFF's fairly quickly!

Guess what?!?!?! My pump is broken...in my three month old dishwasher that runs about twice a week...which means it has been run a total of 18 times MAX!

NEVER NEVER NEVER buy a GE and NEVER NEVER NEVER buy from Lowe's!!!

I am so done with this piece of S&%$!!!

So, the serviceman just left and he will order my new part...I will then have to miss MORE work to be here for that fix!

I plan to head down to Lowe's, in person, this afternoon and discuss my options!!! This has been such a life inconvenience!!!

If you are a new follower...I got this new dishwasher installed in August and this is my fourth service call!!!  Whether or not all GE's are lemons I do not know but I definitely got one that is!!!

PS-I just learned that GE's warranty for replacement of a lemon is "If there are three repairs not more than 30 days apart" ...this is laughable!!! So, although I have three only the second two count since the first was 32 days before the second!!!!! GE TRULY SUCKS!

UPDATE!!! I physically went down to Lowe's to ask in person what I was supposed to do since GE has an incredibly ridiculous replacement policy. I walked to the appliance section of my local Lowe's (where I purchased the GE dishwasher initially) and asked to speak with a manager. As soon as I started explaining the situation; I started sobbing. I told him everything from the beginning, the bad install, the flooding, the leaking in the front and now the pump. He immediately started looking for a replacement unit for me. he gave me an upgrade and gave me the Bosch dishwasher (he said they are the highest rated along with Kitchen-aide). Apparently he will be calling me within an hour to schedule the swap out. THANK YOU LOWE'S and thank you to my local store. This has been horrible for three months...fingers crossed this one will work after it is installed.
