Friday Favorites - Aldi's

HAPPY FREEKIN' FRIDAY YA'LL!!!

I am so excited for the weekend!! Today on my lunch hour I am getting my tires rotated and then I am headed up to see my parents and sister this weekend! That means spending lots of fun time with family this weekend - yippee!!

One of my favorite stores is Aldi's. Are you seeing a trend here? I enjoy a great bargain for a quality price!!

This is not a sponsored post. I truly just wanted to share with you my exciting favorites from Aldi's in case you have not yet been to one.

This week I found this awesome buy! It was the roast, veggies and seasoning all in one package. It was only $8.99 for everything. I threw it all in my crockpot and it has feed me many dinners and lunch this week.

Two:  The second thing is these Aldi versions of laughing cow cheeses. They cost less than $2 so they are way cheaper than Laughing Cow brand and they taste exactly the same! Also, they are 10 calories less than laughing cow wedges!! Only 25 calories a wedge.

Three:  Every week they have specials and fun buys. This week they had these flowers in a glass vase for $2.99!!! It smells awesome and it is so nice to see a flower everyday!! Ahhhh....

Four:  Their blue cheese crumbles are the cheapest I have found. And delish too1 I use them all my salads.

Five: And lastly, I love these! I tried the expensive brand and these are less than $2 at Aldi's and they taste exactly the same!! Try them - I promise you will love them!

That's it for my five favorites!! I could go on and on as I try to buy all my veggies and fruit there too. I have not been able to try everything yest - so, if you shop there - what are your favorites?  They have great quality fruits and veggies for much more reasonable prices than the grocery stores around me.

I hope I helped you find a new favorite today!! I promise you will love it if you have one near you!

Happy weekend everyone - I hope your weekend is filled with fun and happiness!!

Anyone else love Aldi's? What are you favorites? Anything you think I should try? Any exciting plans for the weekend?

New Years Eve 2018 Recap

Happy Monday!!!!! I know I am a week late with this post but it contains a lot of pictures and explainations!! HA!

I hope everyone had a safe and Happy New Years Eve and New Years Day!!!

Here's hoping 2019 is a great year for all us!!!!

Here is a recap of my New Years Eve shenanigans! Just about every year I head to Columbus, Ohio to spend New Years Eve with my sister and nieces and nephews! This year my parents decided to come along too!

Even though I was not going out; I got inspired by these nails on pinterest and decided to recreate them!

Here's my version! I loved how they turned out!!!

Here are my little nieces and nephews (except Kyleigh)!!!

What my sister does every year is come up with a craft or event for every hour. It helps keep the kids awake until midnight since they cannot wait for the next event! She writes the events on paper and puts them in balloons. Then writes the time on each balloon. Every hour a different kid pops the balloon for the hour and we do the craft or event.

Here is the first craft! Making fireworks painting with used toilet paper rolls, paint and glitter!

Here are their finished works of art drying in the garage...

Next balloon....make your own pizza! The kids each get a crust and they put whatever toppings they want on their pizza. My oldest niece wanted a calzone so we added that this year too! Yummy!

Another shot of make your own pizza...

Games happened when there was a lull in the fun - we did not account for the time to bake the pizzas - HA!

Another balloon event was "List your favorite things you did from 2018" and "Bucket list for 2019". I have to say; we are definitely making memories when "Time spent at the lake" was on everyone's favorite list!

The next balloon was make you won bracelet or necklace! I got stretchy clear string and letter beads and the kids made up all kinds of different bracelets. The boys did a lot of "go Steelers" and "go pens" and the girls did "kindness matters", etc. and their names.

Next balloon was dessert time!!! We had about six different things to choose from this year! YUMMY!!! My niece Aly loves to cook and she made delicious hot cocoa cupcakes - they were my favorite!!!

Next balloon was candle making! Each kid got a jar and wick and we melted soy chips for each of their candles. They got to choose their scent!!

Close up of the oils for the scents!

Next balloon was a photo booth!!!! The kids had fun with this and I think Poppy liked it too as you will see in the next few pictures - HA!

Too funny....the girls staged this but how funny!!! That's my dad!

More serious one with my Mom, Dad and the kids!

Another...

Soooo cute...

My little sister and her hubby...

My sister in law and the kids...HA!

The next balloon was the game Telestrations, the New Years good luck pretzel and the non-alcoholic sparkling wine. Here is the game...

After I gave the kids their non-alcoholic wine, I finished the bottle - HA!!

The kids doing "Cheers to 2018 and bring on 2019"...

Here is the adults room and their "Cheers" - they have the real thing!!! HA!!

And finally it was the 11:55PM Balloon! It is always the same thing!!!! Everyone gets a pot or pan and a wooden spoon to bang on the front porch and silly string to spray outside once midnight hits!!!! The kids did great this year and made it midnight with no problem - the adults, on the other hand, struggled but we made it! HA!

New years day was spent running to a few stores with the girls and the boys stayed home and worked on my brothers Pergo floor (My project inspired him to do it himself) and watched football!

We stopped at Starbucks to fill my mug that my oldest sister gave me for Christmas! It is a free refill mug! You get free coffee or tea refills the entire month of January!!! The barista wanted to be in the picture too! She was adorable!

Then off to the mall to spend the girls gift cards and check out the sales!!! How cute, hugh?!?! They grow up too fast!

I love my sweet little nieces and all my sweet little nephews!!! Family is everything!!

Happy 2019 to you all!

I wish you all luck, love and happiness the entire year!!

How was your New Years? Did you stay in or go out? What traditions do you have, if any?

My Five Current Favorites!!!

TGIF...Yippee or whoopie as my late Grandma would say!!! I am soooo happy it is almost the weekend!

Today I am sharing with you my current five favorite things!!!! PS - I am getting nothing for these endorsements...these really are just my favorite things.

One:  I got these cameras on Deals and Steals before I started traveling and they are awesome!!! When I purchased these it was two for $60. I have decided I need one more so I went to price them and they are $80 each! I got a serious deal!  Here is the link to purchase on Amazon. If you are looking for a camera, these are awesome! It is clear video, real time to your phone; audio also, you can talk to the room from your phone (a fun way to freak out friends and family) and record video. I cannot even begin to explain the peace of mind I get from these. Oh, and cloud storage of your video is free...there is no additional cost after purchasing the camera. I promise you will love these. They come in black or white. You can purchase HERE.

Two:  A blogging friend, Kelly at Kelly's Korner, suggested these and I am so happy she did!

I ran out to my local Aldi's and got a few!!! It is just like the Anthropologie Capri Blue Volcano candle (exact scent too)...only it is $7.99!!! WHAT?!?!?! Yup, run out to Aldi's and get yourself one!!! It is now one of my favorites! I love the blue ones - they are in the holiday section of Aldi's. There are three different scents!

Three: Now that winter is here I have to share my absolute favorite lip balm! Burt's Bees is my go to in the winter! It protects and heals...I could not brave winter in Pittsburgh without it! I buy the one with peppermint because I love the cooling feeling of the mint in the winter! Here is the link for purchase at Target for $3.29!  Ahhhhhh...

Four:  This stuff is amazing! It is from Himalyan Institute and it is called Neti Stik. In the winter if you are stuffy this thing clears you right up! You use it like a vicks inhaler! Amazing! I get it at my local store called Sunny Bridge but I found this link to purchase right from the company directly for $4.95.  I will use this link in the future! HA!

Five:  Lastly....now that I am trying to lose this extra weight AGAIN...I find that sugar-free gum really helps with that need to chew and feel satisfied so I am again chewing gun. This Project 7 is my favorite!!! You will find it at Target (at the checkouts) and they have the greatest flavors! It does not keep it's flavor for a really long time but I just chew it for the sweetness and then discard it anyway! You can't beat the flavors!!!

I hope someone finds a new favorite from my list!!! I am headed out to catch up on everyone else's blogs!

Any favorite products that you rely on to get you through the Winter? Ever try any of the above products? Do you have or want cameras in or around your home? Ever hear about a great deal from a fellow blogger?? I do all the time! I guess I picked really good bloggy friends!!!!!! Hugs to you all and HAPPY WEEKEND!

ICU Nurse it is
