Joe's Wednesday Medley

Today, as I do every Wednesday (almost!!!), I am joining in with Terri for her Wednesday Medley!!!

Who knew!?!?! Terri's husband is Joe...he has his own National Day?!?! WOW!!!!

If you're interested in a little 'Joe' trivia, just click here!

If you want to join in...copy the questions below and head over to Terri's blog and add your link! I am sure she would love to have you join in!!!

Who is your favorite "Joe/Jo" and what can you tell us about him or her?
I have a couple! According to the "rules" we honor Josephine's too and that was my Grandmother that I miss so much! I talked about her in the posts with the cat clock and compact I have of hers!! She was my mother's Mom and she really was a very strong and special woman!  Also, my niece is Jordan and we call her JoJo so she is definitely another favorite Jo!!! She is a nurse now and is one of the smartest people I know! Love her so very much!!!

Who were you named for, and do you or did you know that person?
My grandmother told me I was named for Anne of Green Gables but my mother said that is not true...she just liked the name! LOL! So there's that! HA!

Do you have a middle name and do you like it/use it?
Yes, My middle name is Marie...it is the same as my mother's. I love when people roll it all together and call me Ann Marie (the doctors office does this - HA).

Have you ever named your car?  Tell us about it, please!
Nope - never...not sure why not though.

Tell us the name of a fictional character you have never forgotten and why you remember it so well.
I am going to go with Eleanor Oliphant from the book Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine by Gail Honeyman. I can not explain all the reasons why I love her so much but I love her spirit and her strength!!! I also am very drawn to people that are positive and naturally funny when they are not even trying to be.  If you have not read it, I promise you should.

Share something random with us about your week.
I am back to work after vacation. It is Wednesday but it feels like it should be Friday by now! UGH! Days drag after vacation! Also, I am still coughing and congested and not feeling 100%. I drag my butt through the day but can't wait to climb into bed when I get home!!!!

I hope health is around the corner soon!!!! Fingers crossed!

I hope you all have a wonderful day - come on over and join us at Terri's! I love reading everyone's answers and I need all the entertainment I can get! HA!

If no one has told you they love you today, let me be the first!  Hugs to you all!

  1. I keep meaning to get around to reading Eleanor Oliphant, but haven't got there yet. I agree the week is dragging. Tomorrow is my day off, which will help, but not much since this is my weekend to work coming up. Whoopie. Not. Looks like it's going to be a beautiful day in our corner of the world so I hope you can get out and it helps you feel a bit better!

    1. That is a fantastic point Margaret!! Probably even more so I should not complain!! I think more than anything it is the atmosphere at work...once you hear your site is closing and it is only a matter of time until you will be unemployed...it tends to bum everyone out. The atmosphere is blahhhh but I am trying to keep it whoop whoop!! Not an easy task - HA! Have a wonderful week Margaret!

  6. Well, I did comment, it gave me a strange message about a boo boo and then said my comment was published, which it did not. Anyway, AnnMarie, I love your enthusiasm and think you are a person who loves life and laughs a lot! Do you remember Marlo Thomas had a TV show called That Girl, in which her character was also AnnMarie.

I have been a light sleeper my whole life. a gnat sneezing or a mosquito buzzing wakes me up. the only Joe I love is my cup of joe, which is coffee. yes, have had several cars named. Ugs, The Silver Bullet, Jimmy, James. none right now though.
from age 12 until forever I loved Tarzan. I read Tarzan and the city of gold until it fell apart.

  12. I was just going to remark on Marlo Thomas' old sitcom -- her being called AnnMarie -- and that Nonnie beat me to the punch! On Terri's recommendation I downloaded Eleanor Oliphant, but haven't begun reading it yet.

  14. My mom had a neighbor named Joanne when I was growing up. They kept in touch even after our families moved apart. My mom passed away in 2005 and now I keep in touch with Joanne. She's a great lady. My youngest daughter named her first car Gus. It was a red Toyota Camry and she loved that thing!

  15. YES!!! I was on Spring Break last week and this week is dragging for me too! I felt awake today though. I did not on Monday or Tuesday.
Thank-you for sharing your Jo's! I love these questions.
So....my last name is Ray...so Lori Ray. Many people at work call me Lori Ray...like it is a first and middle name. I guess I am just far enough south...but my dad always called me Lori Lynn. I have always answered to 2 names...hahahaha I love the name Anne Marie! Loved your answers! Have a nice week.

    1. Lori Lynn just sounds so cute! You are like me...short first and last name (I am Ann Wolfe). Gave us a little head start in kindergarten when others were trying to spell Stephanie or Franchesca! Their first names are longer than all of ours combined! HA HA! Thanks for coming by - have a fantastic day Lori Lynn Ray!!!
