Happy Birthday Jess and Ick Bugs

Happy Monday ya'll!!!!

I am back home from traveling and so happy about it!!!

I spent the weekend googling this...

ICK!!! I bought Mandaville plant's at Costco last week. I got two for my mom and one for me. Turns out, they were all covered with little, yellow bugs. I googled it and it turns out it was aphids!!! ICK! The way to get rid of them is to spray the plant with soapy water but now it seems that I have killed the leaves and my plant is dying!!! My mothers is exactly the same! I am stopping at Costco to see if there is anything they can do for me on this!!! ICK! Sooo gross!

I was so happy to just be home this weekend that I spent the weekend cleaning and playing with my cats! The kittens were enthralled with a momma bird that has made a nest in my hanging plant on the left side of this picture. They watch here come and go all day bringing worms to her babies!!! So cute! I bet they wish they still lived in the barn now since they could get her and munch away!!! HA HA!


Saturday night I went to give my lead in a neighboring town and saw this amazing sight on the way home...pictures never do it justice!


Then this happened...HA! I was stuck waiting on a train since I stopped to get a picture of the moon - HA HA! Good thing I was only headed home...


Sunday, in Columbus, OH, my brother ran with my (and his) niece for Girls on the Run.  He is the only remaining runner in the family so he was elected to run with Aly. She says we are all too slow - HA!


Notice how much he embraced the role?!?!? Love this man!!! He painted his hair pink and wore amazing stripped knee socks!! GO UNCLE MATT!!!


Finally, this was breakfast! After traveling I have got to stay on track with my eating healthy!!! Today was a good start except ....

After I took the picture above I left for work. I set the mug pictured above on the top of my car, loaded all of my things into the car and then drove off. The mug rolled off my roof and smashed onto the pavement in a million pieces! Also, covered my car in coffee and peptides!!! HA HA! So, I hit a drivethru car wash on my way to work....Not the greatest start to the day so UGH.

Finally, it is my beautiful niece Jessica's birthday today!!! If you see her, tell her happy birthday! I love you sooo many bunches beautiful girl! This is her below in the middle of me and her Mom!!!

Brody is Four?!?!

What an amazing weekend I had!!!! I ran up to my parents house on the lake on Friday night and noticed that it is finally starting to THAW!! Yea! Spring in definitely on the way!!! Here is a shot of the back yard leading to the lake! Soooo ready for Winter to take a hike!!!

Here is a shot of a lonely swan swimming around fishing! She was in this little melted patch in the ice just swimming around and around ducking her head under and fishing while she swam. It was so calm and peaceful to watch! Love the lake and the its wildlife!! 

Picked up and envelope of a bunch of things my parents saved all these years for me...pictures and report cards, etc. I found this little gem tucked in there -  I think this one was from 3rd grade! LOL!!! This was pretty much like every report card...there was a theme! HA

 I packed up a bunch of healthy snacks on Saturday morning and headed out for a weekend in Columbus! I went to visit family and celebrate two very special people - my niece and nephew both had a birthday this month! Madelyn's party was last weekend (she turned five) and Brody's party was this past weekend (he turned four)! I already had plans for last weekend so I could only make it out this weekend to celebrate both!

Got from Pennsylvania to Ohio and the gas price dropped about 50 cents a gallon!!!!!! Crazy how that works!!!!

This is a picture I sent to boyfriend to let him know I arrived safely at my destination after a three hour drive. I stayed with my brother and his family since their kids were having the birthdays that month.  He messaged back and said I look like I am being held hostage!! HAHA! I am the one in the back - LOL!

We quickly styled my nieces hair in adorable braids and  headed off to meet up with my sisters family so I could see everyone and we could ALL hang out! I love that my family is close and likes to spend time together!!  The kids all love to be around each other so much it is so much fun to see them hang out together too!

Where did we go you ask?!?! Costco - of course!! We love our family Costco trips!!! HA HA

All the kids corralled into the carts and enjoying their samples of jelly beans that day! Such fun! I adore each and every one of these little darlings!!!!!

After all the kids went to bed; my sister and sister-in-law and I ran out for a fun night at Target and Walmart! We are a shopping family in case you cant tell! HA! I found this amazing gem for myself as I LOVE Batman!!! It was $3 on clearance and has a velcro cape so you can wash it!!! LOVE IT!! 

I also found this version for my brother-in-law! AWESOME at its finest! Also only $3! Score!

 




















 
 Here is a selfie from Sunday morning! That was Brody's actual birthday! He woke up and ran into his sisters room and yelled...I am four now! It was so cute! So this is the official first selfie from when he was four-we hopped in the car to go get balloons for the party with my brother!!!

Here is a shot of my nieces and nephews that are from Columbus minus one that came a little later. The one on the far right is the birthday boy!!!

A shot of his awesome cake!!!! The woman standing behind in the cream colored coat is Brody's Grandma (my sister in law's Mother) and she actually created that amazing planes cake!!! It was really cute!

Penn State Game Weekend

What an amazing Saturday I had!!

 My parents picked me up in Pittsburgh and we all drove to Harrisburg together to meet up with my sister. She got us tickets to the Penn State vs Ohio State last Saturday and it was an awesome day!

Got my nails ready with some amazing Jamberry designs (purchase here  just click on shop at the top). As you can tell, I was rooting for Penn State!

Here I was attempting a picture of the lot - the tailgates were amazing~! So much fun~and I don't even drink!!

And finally, at my sisters house, all snuggled in my nieces bed for the night! Penn State lost at the very end but it really was an amazing game! Also, from tailgating and walking around the campus all day, I logged over 11 miles that day so that is a win win in my book!!!

 Before we left for Pittsburgh the next day, we made a Costco run as a family...as you will see, that is always a good time! HA  Here is my sister with her sock monkey (her friend is deathly afraid of them so she had me take a picture and we texted it to her - ha!)  Cruel, I know!

 My mom found the cute horsey to hop on. I swear, she did this all herself!!! I just grabbed the shot before she changed her mind!!! My family is soooooooooooo fun!!!!!

As always, weekends with family go wayyyyyyy to quick and it was time to head home!
