Hi! I hope everyone is having a good week so far! Mine is great aside from the horrible freezing temps and snow - HA HA! I know there are a lot of that enjoy this season so I am happy for you all!
I am sooo not ready for this weather!! UGH! I miss my beaches and sunshine!
The only good thing about the pending site closure is that my boss is allowing us to work from home two days a week so I only have to drive in 3 days a week right now - pretty nice! And in the winter, if we ever have any of those treacherous driving days, he has already said stay hone - do not drive in so that is also nice!
Here is a picture out my work window. Too much cold white stuff for me! HA
On Sunday my parents and sister came into town and we went to the Rams vs Steelers game! Another AMAZING GAME! WOW! Sooo close all the way down to the end! Our Steeler defense seriously showed up!!!!!!!! Thank goodness!!! We won, thanks to the defense, 17 - 12!!!!!!! It was another great game that had us all on the edge of our seats-especially that Rams fan in front of me...UGH!! I was ELATED when we won! Here we all are pre-game!! In case you do not know...I love my family!!!!!
And last but not least, the update on my bite! UGH! So the owners of the dog said they will re-home their "angel dog from heaven" but they do not want to have to pay the fine for it not having been up to date on its shots. We are going to have a board hearing soon but they are paying! It kind of says it all to me that they are fighting to fine and now having to re-hone the dog! UGH! Anyway, it still looks quite icky and pink and this is Day 8 for the antibiotics????
Hopefully, it will be okay...time will tell!
I am feeling so overwhelmed these days with appointments so it is really helpful that my work is lenient on when we have to work in the office.
I had to get a crown which required a root canal. Then i went for the crown appointment and found out I need a crown lengthening before they can put the final crown on and then the final crown appointment - that is only for the dentist! LOL!!!!
My car needs inspected before the end of the year so I need to make an appointment for tires and brakes and then one for the inspection. Also, all my yearly doctor appointments are due so I have yearly physical and yearly dermatology appointment too! November and December are going to be chock full of more appointments than you can shake a stick at!!! WOWSA!!!
Well, I hope you all have a fantastic day!
Hugs to everyone!!
Do you enjoy Winter? Favorite part? Looking forward tot he holidays? Overwhelmed with appointments?
reading this makes me glad, both Bob and my yearly exams are in Feb each year.. that leaves time for THINGS to happen when they happen during the holidays.. hope that bite heals soon. I don't like cold or snow, I see you have sunshine which is better than gray skies with snow.... sounds like you have a good boss
ReplyDeleteSounds like you did it right!!! I need to move all my end of year appoints to the beginning of the year, after the holidays! What a great idea!!! Have a fantastic week Sandra!!
DeleteNot a fan of winter. and no sympathy for the dog owner.
ReplyDeleteAgree 100% with both - HA HA! Hugs to you - have a great week!
DeleteThanks so much for popping by my blog. The one you tried to access and couldn't was probably my old blog, which I deleted last year, when I went on blog break. I made my long-time private "family" blog into a public one, which is the one I am now writing on and which you visited and are following.
ReplyDeleteI definitely show my age when it comes to the Steelers. I am hopelessly stuck in their dynasty years of the 1970's. I lived in the Burg then, and I was positively in love with Lynn Swann and Terry Bradshaw. For me, no other NFL team (including current Steelers) can ever knock those guys from their pedestal.
I'm so sorry you got bit by a dog. I am such a dog gal, but I DO get alarmed if I see an unleashed dog coming my way.
Am SO not ready for snow. It's still fall for crying out loud!!
Blessings,
Patti
I have loved the Steelers since then as well. At last weeks game they had a celebration for the 40 year anniversary of the 1979 Super Bowl Win! All the alum were invited on the field at halftime and introduced...it was great! Swann, Blier, Barr, Banaszak, Blount, Woodruff and so many others were there. Interestingly absent was Bradshaw....not sure I am so found of him anymore...:-( I am so happy I found your blog!! Have a great week! Stay warm!!!
DeleteYikes, sounds like you have a lot going on. That is nice that you can work from home some days.
ReplyDeleteYes, it really helps Ann! Especially when I have appointments and meetings. Have a fantastic week!!
DeleteThe snow looks so pretty, but I am pleased we don't experience it.
ReplyDeleteIt is very pretty Andrew...the downside is just the driving in it and it is VERY COLD - HA HA! I am definitely a beach person! Have a great day!
DeleteThe snow looks very nice but we don't get any here. Hoping that the holidays swifty go by. LOL.
ReplyDeleteI am soooo excited about the holiday season being near! That is the one great part of snow - it means Thanksgiving and Christmas are near! HUGS - have a great week Patrick!
DeleteI LOVE winter in Florida!! Good luck with all of your appointments and inspections! Keep us posted!
ReplyDeleteI wish I could enjoy winter in Florida! That is my dream - to be a snow bird somewhere and stay warm all year - HA HA!! Thanks Terri - I know you completely understand...HUGS!
DeleteMan, that dog mess is still going on. Glad to know the dog is getting re-homed. Hopefully someone who will take care of him :(
ReplyDeleteUGHHHH - dont talk about dental work - it freaks me out!!! Hope its all over with soon.
Thanks Rebecca Jo - I hope I am all caught up now!
DeleteWell, I'm glad your HOA pushed further with the dog incident. Maybe it will have a better life? Learn some manners? And the shots were nearly a year overdue, come ON!
ReplyDeleteSeems like you and I both have had our teeth issues this year. You deserve a crown :)
I like having four seasons. I'm looking at your "snow" photo with those dry roads and parking lot. So, where's the snow? :P
Thanks for the support Abby. The teeth issues are awful - I am planning to brush six times a day to not have to have another root canal or crown ever!!! UGH!!!. Ours is all melted here too! I just hate to drive in it.
DeleteThat bite still looks horrible. Glad to hear they are "rehoming", but they shouldn't be arguing about the fine. They should be lucky you aren't suing or asking for the dog to be put down.
ReplyDeleteI liked your snow picture. Whoever did the parking lot should give lessons!
I do like winter and while I was teaching, I loved snow days. I love watching it fall and if the wind isn't bitter walking as it falls. Not overwhelmed by the upcoming holiday -- probably because I don't have to host them. Enjoy the coming weekend!
Thanks for the support Robin. I enjoy watching it fall when I have no where to go but I worry about my family having to drive in it!! UGH
DeleteThose dog owners are horrible! I'd move all the appointments too!
ReplyDeleteAgree totally Julie!
DeleteWow. I love dogs, but I don't understand the way people seem to be putting them ahead of humans these days. It makes me shake my head when I hear a story of an owner being more worried about the dog than the person it bit/mauled. Crazy world we're living in!
ReplyDeleteNo, I don't like winter! I can put up with it through Christmas for the "atmosphere" but come January I want it GONE!
How about last night's game. Craziness! Our QB is such a class act for being such a young guy.
The defense is amazing also!!! I am loving watching every game - sooooo exciting!!! The quarterback is such a cutie too!!!! The boiys are getting it done!
DeleteThe older I get the more I enjoy winter. I love snow! I'm overwhelmed with work right now and am looking forward to January, when things will begin to slow down.
ReplyDeleteThe way you feel about work is how I feel about my appointments - I really need to spread them out next year! I hope your work gives you a break soon!!! HUGS
DeleteNo more snow for me since I left Illinois. I did enjoy the snow, but not the shoveling. This is the time of year when I get really stressed so so many things and this year, for some reason, we have a ton of things piling up on us. Sheesh!
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry about your dog bite. We had a dog owner who kept bringing her dog over to our school playground and wouldn't listen to our principal who said it wasn't safe for our students. One day my husband was leaving school after volunteering in our school and the dog charged him and he got a small bite on his finder. My principal asked my husband to please bring charges to the owner which he did. The dog owner's husband (who happened to be a lawyer) arrived at the hearing and promised us that they would give their dog away and wouldn't have the large dog anywhere near the school. So charges were dropped and my principal breathed a sigh of relief. Some dog owners are very irresponsible which is very sad and dangerous.
Sorry you've had so many stressful appointments lately :( Hopefully your white stuff has gone away like ours has by now. Happy Thanksgiving!
ReplyDeleteI love snow. I recently met a colleague I hadn't seen for years and the first thing he said was: 'are we going to make a snowman again?' Which was a bit of nonsense really, as I made it all by myself!
