Dance recital - little late

Hi everyone! I am sooo behind on my posts due to an unexpected work trip!

I miss EVERYONE!!! I can not wait to read all of your blogs and catch up on what I have missed!!!

Here are my updates for today...

My best friend that I went to visit in Kauai, HA had her baby!!!! It is a beautiful 8'10" little girl and her name is Charlotte Magdalena (she was named after both of her great grandmothers). She is so adorable and I can not wait to meet her adorableness in person!  Mom is also healthy and happy and ready to spoil this little sweetie!!!

TWO WEEEKENDS AGO (told you I am behind-HA!) I did a road trip to Columbus, OH for my two nieces dance recital. They killed it!

I had to stop along the way for these cuties...Momma turkey and ALL of her babies crossing the road...awwwwwwwwwwwwwww! She had like nine turkey-lings...if that is a word!!!

Seriously, SO CUTE!

I stopped at my brothers house to say hi when I got into cColumbus and there was no humans there; only these cuties!!! Baxter and Kenyon are my brothers cats. We call Baxter the "cat dog" ...he eats EVERYTHING and follows you around...this should help you be able to tell which is which! HA!

This is how my family saves seats at a dance recital.....HA!
Just kidding...but my nephew was happy to pretend for a picture.

Here are a few still shots from the recital since I was not yet able to load the videos to my youtube....

This is Alyssa in her musical number routine...she is forth from the left...

And here is Kyleigh and Alyssa in their ballet routine...Kyleigh is far left and Aly is far right.

Kyleigh performed a tap solo!!! WHAT!?!? Yup! All alone on that stage and she did a wonderful job!  She is a talented little tapper for sure!

And here are both again in their lyrical number...Aly is far left and Kyleigh is right beside her...

Last one...Kyleigh in her group tap routine...she is far left...

Both girls did awesome and it is so much fun watching them every year!!! Love these little chicks!

After the recital; we headed home to my sister's house. Aly changed and we all ran out to watch her softball game. Here she is in the field...

And here she is battling! I have a great video of her hit I will post later on my youtube!

It was a fun, quick trip to Columbus!

I will continue to try to catch up this week and off I go to read about everything you have been up to!

Every get so behind you feel like you can't catch your breath? Any dancers in your families? Any trips lately...work or personal? Favorite gum?!?! Favorite healthy drink?

Have a fantastic Monday!!!! Hugs to everyone!!!

  2. I am often so behind that I can't catch my breath.

    No dancers in my family.

We just came back from a yacht club cruise and we had a great time.

    I don't chew gum.

    I like water and Gatorade.

Have a fabulous day and week. ♥

  3. Fun packed day for you!
I have that feeling right now! No dancers in my family - all grown now. I don't chew gum. Water is my favorite beverage of choice, plain water. I also have not had a trip in the last month since fathers funeral up north in PA. I'm boring Ann!

  7. What an action packed weekend you had! I did ballet and tap until I was nine and then we moved. I think it is fabulous going from tap/ballet to softball in the same day.
