I hope everyone had a fantastic weekend and I hope everyone threw a little love and appreciation to that person they see as a father!! I know not everyone has a fantastic father like me; but I hope you all have someone you respect and admire in that way. And special prayers to those that have lost their father; I am praying for your comfort.
Here are the two people that made me...I love them so much more than I can say!!!
And here they are when all four of us kids were little...
And here we all are in 2015 at their 50th anniversary dinner...
Since I spent the weekend with my father we had a little lake time too.
It was a dreary and rainy weekend but we were able to squeeze in a little tube time for the kids in between rain storms...
Here is Aly and Brody...
And Madelyn and Kyleigh...
Our fearless boat driver and my "little" brother Matt...
And I got a little selfie off the front of the boat with Aly...HA!
I hope everyone had a fantastic weekend and prayers for a great week!!!!!!!
HUGS!
How was your weekend? Who do you think of when you hear the word Father? Ever eaten a real lychee?
What a lovely photo of your parents and the family photos are nice too. Not sure if they are real lychees, but I have eaten and enjoyed many.
ReplyDeleteAren't lychee's delicious?!?! I lvoe them and wish I could grow them here but it is sadly not possible in my climate :-(
DeleteHave a great day Andrew!
Sounds like a great weekend celebrating Dad! xo, Biana BlovedBoston

Yes, I am blessed to live close enough that I get to visit a lot! They put up with a lot from me as a kid so it is also a living amends! HA !
DeleteHave a great day Sandee!! HUGS
I love your then and now family photos and the selfie at the end with your HAIR. love it... you are blessed to still have your parents and for them to have made their 50th anniversary, my mom died 3 years before they would have had the 50th .
ReplyDeleteAw - I am so sorry for your loss. I am very close with them so I wonder how I am going to be when they are no longer here. I can not imagine a time without their presence and support!!! Hugs to you Sandra - you must miss her everyday!
DeleteWhat fabulous photos you shared! Nope on the lychee! Have a marvelous Monday and great week!
ReplyDeleteThank you Robin! I hope you have a fantastic week also!!! HUGS
DeleteI love old pics ... so full of memories.
ReplyDeleteYou are a blessed lady to have a great dad!!!
Your parents look great. Love the photos.
ReplyDeleteI'm in Florida with my dad right now and he turns 96 on the 25th of June. We lost my mom 37 years ago.
I am sorry for the loss of your mother - you must miss her everyday! How wonderful that your father is 96 in a few days! That is amazing! PLEASE - tell him happy birthday from blog land! Enjoy your time with him, enjoy Florida and enjoy the birthday celebration! That is awesome! Have a great time Debby!!!!
DeleteWell the word father makes me think of my wonderful dad. A girl couldn't have asked for a better one. He's been gone for quite some time now
ReplyDeleteI am sooo sorry for the loss of your father. It has to be hard everyday! At least you were given the best though!!! I hope you have a fantastic week Ann!!!! HUGS
DeleteIt looks like you all had a great time at the lake! I haven't been tubing in years. What fun!
ReplyDeleteDidn't celebrate Father's Day much here. My adopted dad has been gone for 25 years and my stepdad and Mom weren't back from Florida yet. Tim and I don't celebrate Father's (or Mother's) Day for each other since our philosophy is that he's not my father and I'm not his mother. We did take a drive east on Rt. 30 and had a nice time stopping at flea markets and antique shops.
I don't think I've had a lychee, real or otherwise.
The drive east sounds like an awesome trip - way better than buying gifts anyway!!! I love stopping in all the little shops and markets in small towns! It is such an adventure - how great that you enjoy that together!!! Tubing was great for the kids - I can't go anymore since my neck hurts for a week after! Getting old sucks! HA! Have a fantastic week Stacy!
DeleteSounds like you had a wonderful weekend. Dads are great. I also honored my husband for Fathers Day. He took on the roll as a father to my daughter and adopter her when she was 10. I could not ask for a better father that I have or a better Father than my daughter has.
ReplyDeleteNow I want to go tubing!!
Lisa
Aw Lisa! That is wonderful! You have to love a volunteer father even more!!! That is wonderful that he stepped up and now she is "his own"!!! What a great guy you have!!! You are blessed!! Yes....go tubing asap!!! Sooo fun! Have a great day Lisa! HUGS
DeleteWhat a fun Father's Day weekend. It looks like everyone had a blast at the lake. What a blessing to come from such a loving set of parents! Thanks for linking up with Hello Monday! Tanya - The Other Side of the Road
ReplyDeleteLOL on your glasses in that pic! At least my step dad is a pretty good father
ReplyDeleteLooks like a very wonderful weekend.
ReplyDeleteSo cold out today, under 10 degrees, so seeing this post warmed me up a bit. Looks like a great family outing. Also enjoyed seeing the older family pics.
