Jump Starting Weight Loss

I have decided to go on Atkins again. After months of maintenance I decided to need to switch things up and get this weight loss jump started!

It worked the last time I did it years ago and then I just let myself go again.

Time to get serious!

What do you all think? Have any of you tried low carb and what are your thoughts?

I love that I can now eat bacon, pepperoni, beef jerky, pork rinds, and cheese without feeling guilty!

I also bought these so that I can tell when I start in the fat burning mode!! Apparently you are in Ketosis when your body starts burning it's own fat for fuel and it will register on these test strips. Very interesting!

My Week with Obama - Sunday

I am in Washington, D.C. for the week for some training for work.

I arrived on Sunday and I got a brief litttle tour of the city before heading back to my hotel room for dinner, Amazing Race premier and the Steelers game...great day...here are the pics!

Here is looking out the window of my plane in Pgh getting ready to take off for DC - what a quick flight...the whole thing was less than 1 hour...QUICK!

I got to the hotel and my room was not ready yet...so I decided to wander around outside and I met this little guy...

He practically came over and sat on my lap with his chicken bone...he was gnarling away on it and I must have looked like a nice dining companion...

This was an interesting building...it is for all people from Florida...very interesting!

Went to a meeting here...met awesome people and plan to attend another one this evening at 8:30 - love my "Friends of Bill" - family wherever I go!
