Today I am thankful for Thank You's!!!
I love getting mail and packages...who doesn't, right? After the holidays I always feel a little UGH. I think it is the combination of being drained and having had so much with my family all together and then having to get right back into the swing of "real life" and work. Not sure what exactly it is but I have to say that Thank You's pick me right up!
As little kids, my parents made us write thank you notes to everyone after receiving birthday gifts and Christmas gifts! We continued this our whole lives and now that my siblings have kids they have stressed the same thing to them. I really did not enjoy it then but now I get it! Every day I open my mail and get a thank you from someone, it makes me feel appreciated and, more than anything, reminds me of how much fun the holidays were and I am again smiling! My little sister reminded me the other day that we used to get thank you notes from our Great Aunts all the time ... they would send us thank you's for the thank you's!!! HA! Thanks for all the thank you's Aunt Laura and Aunt Martha!!

Of course there are others from siblings, aunts and parents but those are more personal so I am not posting those but I had to share these!! I will keep them forever!!
Etiquette is something that is falling by the way side these days and I hope these things are never thrown to the side by my family.
Another thing I have noticed lately, is the amount of cussing by children (in public) is frightening!!! We also were never allowed to cuss or we would have been KILLED! But... this is a post for another day! HA!
So, thank you for the thank you's!!!!! I love you all very, very much!!!!
