A day in the life...

The following three pictures sum up my day yesterday.
The company sent me these books to prepare for my leadership  class at Gettysburg next month...so excited for that!

And this is a picture from the packed full Yukon (company van) we used to pick up popcorn yesterday for Employee Appreciation.  We had popcorn in each of our lobbies as appreciation for the employees.  It was a total of 18 bags of popcorn!  There was caramel, cheeses and white chocolate drizzled on kettle (the green one). They were delish!!!!!!!!

And finally, I got to go to dinner at Baywood. It is my companies version of a corporate country club.  It is beautiful there and I had amazing food and hung out with an amazing bunch of people.  We had smoked duck and fig appetizers, seltzer water with lime and prime rib...nothing better!  What a great way to end your day!

Hope everyone elses week is going well!!!

If you’ve taken part in FMM then you know the rules.

If you’re new, please take a moment to answer this week’s question on your own blog then add your link in the comments section at Kenlie's blog: www.alltheweigh.com so we can all see your FMM questions and answers.

Please invite your blog readers to add their links here too so everyone has to opportunity to be seen. The idea is to connect with other awesome bloggers so take a moment to post your own FMM post and comment on a couple of other posts. Now it’s time for this week’s topic!

Pondering Personal Thoughts
1. How old would you feel if you didn’t know how old you are? I feel anywhere between 25 and 50.  HEE HEE! Seriously! In the mornings after a serious workout and sleep, I feel 50....after I wake up and move around (limber up the stiffness) my age begins to drop rapidly! I love hanging out with younger people and Zumba and dancing, etc. Very young at heart!!

2. Are you the kind of friend you’d want to have as a friend?  …

Bring on the Ice

Image
Still icing the foot...It definitely feels better both when I put pressure on it and also when I just wiggle it but still not 100%. At my advanced age (HA) I am afraid to push it so I think I am taking off the next few days for cardio. I will focus on getting in a few good lifting days instead.I have a bunch of longer (what I call longer) runs coming up that I need to start putting in some distance runs for just to get into the training again. I am a runner/jogger/walker and I don't really care that much about my times; just finishing hee hee.So here are the two runs I am scheduled for so far this year...Hershey 10K - April 14th
Pittsburgh Half Marathon - May 4thI plan on running many more I hope....Turkey Trot and Jingle Bell Run included.Better heal this foot fast and get out on that trail now that the weather is finally going to be heading toward spring temps!!!!!!!!!! YEAH!!
I will leave you with my decor at work....below is my St. Patty's Day decor....some shamrock light…

Little Boo Boo

I was so excited for Kristy to get back last night that I think I went too hard! HA!

One of my favorite Zumba/HipHop instructors was on vacation last week and last night was her first day back.

I was soooo amped for her HipHop class and I think I went a little too hard.

I burned over 800 calories in her 1 hour HipHop alone and then did my usual Zumba to burn over 400 more.

I got home, did my usual routine which consists of showering and then relaxing with a hot decaf Sleepytime tea (and popping Melatonin-my sleeping savior) and went off to bed.

I woke up at about 2AM with a pounding pain in my foot. Kept me up the rest of the night!!!

It is in the middle of the ball of my foot!!! PAIN times 50!

I limped into work and have had ice on it all day today and I will be taking tonight off from any exercise.

Just PRAYING that it will be functional tomorrow or else I may have to suck it up and get an xray :-(

I will keep you all posted.....sooooooooooooo sad!!! HATE DAYS OFF-THEY MEAN I HAVE T…

New Kicks!

So you all know how much I love my Zumba!!

I also love jogging (outside) and spin class but Zumba and hiphop are my true favs.

It does not sound like a workout I know but it really is.

I have a bodymedia to gague calories burned and each hiphop class is between 600 - 800 claories!! It is awesome!!!!

I do HipHop and Zumba about four days a week and then spin and jog the others and I noticed that my knees were starting to hurt - bad. Like even when I was sleeping if I turned wrong, etc.

So someone said as much as I dance for fitness I needed to invest in a pair of dancing shoes. They have a pivot point that allows for easier turning without jerking or tugging on the knees! What a difference!! They are awesome! They were actually on sale at Kohls and I was able to get them for like 26 dollars; a steal when you consider that real Zumba shoes are like 80 dollars!

Anyway I love them!!!!

I spun last night for an hour and then did Zumba for a final hour...hopefully if my eating stays on track I will…

Getting Serious!!

Okay! Back to business!

It is Monday and I have officially weighed myself.  From this week forward I will have Monday weigh in day to report what I have lost each week!

It helps keep me accountable.
